“Now when these things begin to take place, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
(Luke 21)
The St. Philip Neri Refugee Committee would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support
of the Fair Trade Goods sale and for all of the continued support through financial and material
donations .
Thought for the week…
Pope Francis reminds us that “Mercy is the middle name of Love,” and in the Gospel passage from Matthew 25, Jesus tells us: “Truly, I say to you, as you did it for one of the least of these, you did it for me.”
Diocesan Prayer Intention We pray for a spirit of cooperation and justice among
leaders gathered for the United Nations Climate
Change Conference in Paris. May the Holy Spirit lead
us all to protect God’s creation, for the sake of future
generations and for all who share this common home.
The St. Philip Neri CWL is selling raffle
tickets, dinner tickets, memberships and
calendars in the
welcome area on November 28th,

The St. Philip Neri Knights of Columbus will be selling the grocery gift cards in the welcome area on November 28 & 29, as well as on the weekend of Dec 19 & 20.

For this Extraordinary Jubilee Year (Dec. 8, 2015 to Nov. 20, 2016), the privilege of offering a Holy Door has for the first time been granted to Cathedral churches worldwide. At the Cathedral of the Holy Family in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, the great central doors of the main worship space have been designated as Holy Doors of Mercy. In preparation for the Year of Mercy, these doors have now been closed and will remain so in anticipation of their formal opening on the third Sunday of Advent, Dec. 13, 2015. A special Opening Rite will be performed at the 6:30 p.m. Mass. From then, throughout the Year of Mercy, until their official closure on Nov. 13, 2016, local parishioners and visitors to the Cathedral will be able to enter through the Doors of Mercy. The doors will be accessible during regular operating hours of the Cathedral.
