• Convenient layout for preparing core (start of year) rosters and posted (start of ‘month’) rosters
• Colour-coded grid allows casuals to ‘paint’ availability from home or work
• Same online grid allows managers to ‘hover’ to match available staff (blue) against shifts to be filled (yellow)
• Better staff retention as casuals are more efficiently phoned and deployed at times that suit them
• Opportunity to identify the optimal-sized casual pool that will provide ‘enough availability’ but not too much, and eliminate the ‘staff ring around’
