Plants are provided for this class, but students may bring a

shade-loving plant of their own if desired. Learn how to

transform a ho-hum potted plant into a work of art! Kokedama

is the Japanese art of growing a plant in an artistic way without

using a pot. Students will prepare the roots of a shade-loving

plant, form a ball of soil around them, and then cover the

earthen ball with moss. The finished kokedama can be

displayed on a decorative tray or tile, or suspended from a

string.

CAMERA BASICS Did you get a digital camera recently?

Most of us begin with Automatic and let it go at that. The

booklet, with the camera, is not always easy to understand. But

if you have been wondering what those letters and symbols on

the Dial mean then this course is for you. I use a Canon SLR

digital camera, but would welcome any make as long as you

bring your booklet that came with the camera. Many point and

shoot cameras have these letters and symbols as well. If you

have additional lens for your camera please bring them. There

will be an information presentation each session, as well as

ample time to work with your camera and practice what I have

presented. Although the course is focused on how to use your

camera, I will also review basic elements of photography such

as, depth of field, lighting, shutter speed, etc.

them and glazing them on Thursday so they will be completely

food safe. Its ego safe, and super fun to get your hand in clay

plus we guarantee you an escape from real life when you are in

class. The class has limited space so make sure you sign up
