Collect forensic evidence from custodian systems using EnCase software and Excel spreadsheets. Use ServiceNow and Archer ticketing systems/data bases for tracking work. Use Tableau Forensic Duplicator to erase disk drives and Forensic Firewire Bridge to collect MacBook Pro files. Use of Robocopy to backup server/desktops for forensic data. Use of Microsoft Office365.

Marathon/Par Technology – 10/2014 – 4/2015 - Field Engineer (part time) 5 state area - Serviced PCs, printers, POS systems and Kitchen Video Systems(Windows XP Pro) and servers(Windows 2003) for Par Technology customers (McDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hut , etc.) throughout the 5 state area. Diagnosed and found solutions to migration problems relating to MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and printer configuration. Used SQL queries to refine searches. 5000+ users.

 Senior Software Engineer - 1994 -2007 - Onsite support at LTSA in Wellington New Zealand as an OS generalist for 3 months to migrate customer to new system and improve performance to acceptance level. 

Designed, developed and implemented a program to track field escapes and feed them back into our testing process.  Improved the stability of the Unisys Operating System.

Led project that gathered tests for departments MS Windows test effort and designed framework for their use. Only test vehicle for MS Windows at Unisys.

Headed special group effort to automate our testing via COTS automation tools.  Shortened test cycle duration.

Evaluated tools from Mercury Inactive, SQA (Rational/IBM) and Compuware.  Decided upon the SQA automation tools and led effort to incorporate its use in our testing.

Onsite support for Rational/IBM Robot load testing effort at Virginia Beach VA in conjunction with the LA County Tax system development. 

Composed and executed tests on OS2200 mainframe compilers(C, FORTRAN and COBOL), JAVA, JBOSS and Eclipse and a variety of Unisys custom PC based products which included  Programmers Workbench (a PC based IDE for 2200 mainframe programs) and SLAR(PC based 2200 mainframe log retrieval and analysis program). Testing resulted in improved quality and stability of the products.

Volunteered for a reduction in force (layoff) and accepted June 2007.

 Manager, Application Testing - 1991-1993 Promoted to manager of, the Application Test group within SST. Group consisted of 11 highly skilled testers tasked with simulating customer applications to use for software system test purposes.  

Software Engineer -1986-1991 Initial member of group (Software System Test) formed to gather products from all 2200 developers and release to the field at the same time.  In addition, test all the products together to find any incompatibilities. Setup the framework do accomplish this testing.

 Systems Programmer - Returned to Field Support analyzing customer problems, supplying remedies including technical phone support. On-site support at Gulf Oil-Pittsburgh and NASA-Slidell.

Systems Programmer - Transferred to Operating System Development department.  Major responsibility included magnetic tape labeling handler and facilities alias handler.  Last position was on the transaction processing team. All programming done at the assembler level.

Systems Programmer – Graduated from the University of Minnesota. Accepted systems programmer position in Field Support and Continuation department at Sperry Univac.   Analyzed customer problems and supplied remedies and technical support.  Submitted possible fixes to development department.   Onsite support at Social Security Administration-Baltimore(2), Texas Department of Human Resources-Austin, NBC-NYC, Shell Oil-Houston(2), Bechtel Engineering- San Francisco(2)  and LA Unified School District.  All in support of Sperry Univac large scale mainframe systems.
