Children displaying symptoms of COVID-19

Parents contacted; child taken to separate area (isolation room) until parent pick-up; child supervised by staff member wearing PPE; room cleaned subsequently with appropriate materials. Maintain dialogue with family to monitor child’s health and wellbeing
Designated isolation area (with signage) in place to go to if displaying any symptoms, children to wait in designated area until parents arrive. Staff monitoring to wear full PPE including face mask. Area to be thoroughly cleaned once child has left. If child is tested positive for Covid call PHE/DFE for latest advice. Minimising personnel in the bathroom. Plenty of hand washing 20 seconds at a time for staff and children.
Only x1 person to change a nappy at a time to ensure safeguarding and social distancing, other staff member will be spotting at a safe 2m distance. Rooms that are sharing bathroom need to go at separate times maintaining bubbles and ensure bathroom is cleaned after use. All bathrooms that are being used to be cleaned after each use. Routinely check and clean bathrooms throughout each day. Restock bathrooms each day to ensure availability of PPE and hand washing supplies. Staff toilet – staff need to clean after use with Milton.
