• Reading criteria for rising 6th graders:
– FCS Reading Recommendation Criterion
– Grade 4 Milestones Reading Indicator below
– In lieu of Milestones, Grade 5 Iowa Reading < 60%ile
– F&P Level--Level U and below is considered below grade level for end of year 5th grade.
– Classroom performance on comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary tasks.
– Performance on 4th Grade Reading/ELA Milestones
– Level 1=strong candidate for reading
– Level 2+= teacher discretion as determined by other criteria considerations
– Any student with IEP Reading goals or Tier 3 RTI Reading goals (comprehension, vocabulary, & fluency)

– There is NO NEED to sign up for a registration appointment.
• You WILL need to fulfill the residency requirement.
– You can email the proofs starting July 1 to Shari Cooper (Student Records) at [email protected] or bring to the office during summer hours.
• Keep checking our website in mid-May for updates on Summer Hours, appointment times/dates (through our Sign-Up Genius) and Walk-In times.
• Private school or out of the county (not a Fulton School) you must sign up for a registration appointment or come in during Walk-In times/dates.
