    Keeping in view the demand for power in Uttarakhand during forthcoming Kumbh Mela, Ministry of Power

    vide order No. 1/24/2009-OM dated 11th

    January, 2010 has made additional specific allocation of 64 MWpower to Uttarakhand from the Unallocated Power of Central Generating Stations of Northern Region. Thespecific allocation of 64MW to Uttarakhand for Kumbh mela shall be derived from all the CGSs in theNorthern Region in proportion to their respective contribution to the unallocated power pool after allocatingspecific allocation to the Railways and the HVDC stations of POWERGRID. The balance quantum of unallocated power of CGSs of Northern Region shall be allocated among the beneficiaries of the region as perthe existing percentages.

    CEA vide order No. 5 / NR / CSA / GM - 2010 / DATED - 12.01.2010 ( MOP vide order No.1/24/2009 - OMdated 11.01.2010 has given specific allocation of 64 MW to Uttarakhand from the unallocated power ofCG stations of Northern Region.
