Job Profile in Healthcare Sector :-

In my present profile as a GM (OPS) I am responsible for the entire functioning of the non-medical areas of the unit and also a stakeholder of internal processes related to Support-service departments . Some of the key performance indicators during my short tenure at Metro Hospital are as follows :-

Metro Hospital - Cash Component of revenue have shown constant upward trend and is continuing at 10%- 15% enhancements constantly.

Metro Hospital and Nayati Hospital - S.O.P.’s of critical medical and non-medical departments are formulated and executed.

Metro Hospital - Data collection and its analysis is followed for maximizing the revenue model of the unit. Cost-break-up of surgery packages is calculated for effective utilization of resources.

Metro Hospital - Market sensitive surgical packages are formulated and are executed with key inputs from marketing team. Brand building exercise in terms of camps and out-reach OPDs are planned and executed

Nayati Hospital – Effective utilization of manpower has resulted in saving of about 10-12% in first –quarter of operations.

.Nayati Hospital – Identification of Cost-centers and its regulation. Training and Motivating of entire staff in synch with NABH norms initiated. Motivating Consultants to be a stakeholder and encouraging them to give key inputs to

marketing team to formulate strategies to increase the revenue of the unit.

The department Provides material supply support to the entire hospital both medical and non-medical.

Inventory Management Vendor Management and development. Supply Chain Management of medical and non-medical products, which includes stock &

maintenance etc.

Smooth, efficient and uninterrupted medical and non-medical supplies to the entire hospital. 100% compliance of S.O.P. and purchase of CBU approved goods, inventory days maintained at 21 days. Regular interaction with consultants for feedback and support. Empowerment of team to take decisions beneficial for the organization. Pro-active vendor management.

Front Office(IPD and OPD)

In Patient Department (IPD) responsible for Registration, Admission, Counseling, Bed Management and Discharges.

Out Patient Department responsible for consultations, PHC , investigations and Day-Care Procedures.

Being the face of the hospital , the team members are trained to empathetic with the clients, to ensure 100% compliance of S.O.P. Seamless and smooth functional operations . Transparent and accurate counseling for the clients . MIS and data co-relating in the department for precise marketing activities . The department is responsible for both internal and external security of the facility. Responsible also for Man material check, authorized entry and fire safety in the facility.

Identified vulnerabilities/ internal & external threat/ exposures, risk reduction/ Mitigation alternatives. Interfaced with management for acceptable risk level.

Maintained intelligence contacts both formally and informally to respond efficiently to ensure the safety of client staff and maintain continuity of business.
