Research is a way to educate yourself.

It is NOT: PICKING THE FIRST FEW HITS

FROM THE INTERNET.

GALILEO What?

Stands for Georgia Library Learning Online

A portal to hundreds of databases containing articles, books, images, etc.

Why? Gives you access to subscription only information that

is not often easily available on the internet.

The GALILEO databases contain specially selected periodicals that have been reviewed by experts in the field.

The Internet is open for anyone to post information. Therefore, the information may or may not be accurate.

DISCLAIMER

Some good reference materials can be located on the Internet, particularly Google’s specialized sites. Scholar.google.com

Saving Your Work

Saving your citations/articles/Bibliography Management

Most of the databases have a "print", "save", and "e-mail" link. Click on the link and follow the directions.

Saving your citations to a disk, or e-mailing them to your e-mail account is a good way to keep track of where you looked. It makes it easy for you to retrieve that information for your bibliography or works cited list.
