Project MethodologyA methodology provides consistency for both project managers and team members across the organization. Common tools, templates and other resources help the project manager guide the project to success. By creating a common language and a framework, individual team members don’t get mired down in creating custom tools and templates and can better understand their roles and expected contributions.

In our project we mostly used sourcing method. First of all we find out the latest trend report. Then according to that trend we have chosen “texture” as our theme. Then we make a design with that theme for a basic shirt for men. According to guideline of

our honorable faculty then we developed that design. Then we search the fabric with similar design.

Finally we manufactured a basic shirt for men.

Brand Logo Development

A logo is more than images and words, a good logo tells a story about your company--who you are, what you do and what you stand for. That's a lot to ask of one piece of art, which is why it's important that you take the time to do it right. Fortunately, you don't have to do it alone. The steps below will take you through the process of designing a logo that will successfully brand you in the marketplace.

Four Parts: Brainstorming Testing the Design Finalizing the Design Sample Logos

Page 7: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Part 1 of 3: Brainstorming

Determine the primary function of your logo. A logo represents your brand through the use of shape, fonts, color and images. Being clear on why you need a logo can guide your design.

o Boost recognition. Is your company new or competing in a field with a lot of other players? Having a strong logo can help clients recognize your brand more readily.

o Create memorability. Consumers shop with their eyes and logos can be easier to remember than names, products and services. Over time, a customer comes to associate your logo with your company.

o Create trust. Part of bringing in and keeping clients is based on their willingness to trust you. A solid logo that conveys your honesty and integrity can help put clients at ease.

o Enhance admiration. If clients already have a good impression of your business, you can build on that by creating a logo that is well-regarded for its good looks, cleverness or effective simplicity.

1.o Cleverness or effective simplicity.

Page 8: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

2

Think about your target market. It's important to be clear on who your client is and customize the look of your logo to appeal to those who will be using your services.

o A logo for a florist shop could incorporate a whimsical font and a bright color scheme; this wouldn't work so well for an auto body repair garage

8 Product Development GMM260

Page 9: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

3

A logo for a law firm must communicate integrity and strength; not necessarily the look that would work well for a catering company.

4

DECIDE WHETHER TO INCORPORATE YOUR COMPANY'S NAME INTO THE LOGO. OF COURSE, YOU WANT TO BUILD NAME RECOGNITION FOR YOUR BUSINESS, BUT MAKING THE NAME PART OF YOUR LOGO DESIGN MAY NOT ALWAYS BE A GOOD IDEA.

O INCLUDE THE NAME IF IT IS REASONABLY DISTINCTIVE BUT NOT YET A HOUSEHOLD WORD OR IF YOUR MARKETING FUNDS ARE LIMITED AND YOUR GOAL IS TO BUILD NAME RECOGNITION. [1]

O DO NOT INCLUDE THE NAME IF IT IS TOO GENERIC, TOO LONG, DOESN’T TRANSLATE WELL GLOBALLY (IF THAT'S A CONSIDERATION) OR LACKS PERSONALITY. LEAVE THE NAME OUT, TOO, IF YOU MUST PUT YOUR LOGO ON A PRODUCT, SUCH AS A SNEAKER OR A HANDBAG. [2]

O THINK OF ALL THE DIFFERENT WAYS YOU PLAN TO USE YOUR LOGO. PICTURE THE SMALLEST SIZE YOU MAY NEED; IF THE COMPANY NAME WON'T BE READABLE WHEN THE LOGO IS THE SIZE OF A THUMBNAIL, IT MAY BE BEST TO LEAVE IT OUT OF THE DESIGN.

9 Product Development GMM260

Page 10: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Follow the company's color scheme. If your company has already established the use of certain colors in its signage, advertising and other materials, it's important that those colors are reflected in the logo.

o Consistent use of colors builds familiarity. You want customers to be able to mentally "link" your logo to the company.

o If your company has branded itself with specific colors, the public will have developed a subconscious association with those colors.

o If you don't yet have an established color scheme for your business, do some research on the psychology of colors so that you can choose appropriately. For example, red signifies strength, passion, energy and confidence but it can also signal danger.

6

Page 11: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Be inspired by but don't copy successful logos. While it might be tempting to create something that looks like your favorite corporate logo, it will communicate an unintended message to your audience--that you're lazy and uninspired.

o Look at logos of other business similar to yours. Ask yourself what you like and don't like about them. What works and what doesn't. Don't get overwhelmed by looking at too many examples--10 or 12 should be more than enough to give you ideas of what to do and what to avoid.

o A successful logo should be simple, memorable, timeless and appropriate. Keep these as goals as you play around with ideas.

o If you're struggling for ideas, trying using different key word to conduct searches online or use a thesaurus to move your thinking in some new directions.

7

Keep it simple. Designing a logo is an exercise in restraint. While it may be tempting to try to convey a multitude of messages with your design, trying to do too much will sabotage the success of your logo.

o Avoid too many colors, multiple fonts and layered images. A confusing or cluttered logo won't convey a clear message.

o If there are too many visual elements in your logo, it will be difficult for the customer to process. They won't know where to look or what it means.

o Practically speaking, a simple logo is easier and less expensive to reproduce. Since your logo may appear on a variety of items--from letterhead to advertisements to tote bags--simplicity could save you money in the long-run.

Page 12: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Part 2 of 3: Testing the Design

2.Draw a rough sketch of the design. Your better off putting pencil to paper in the initial stages of your logo design process. Sketching is a quick and easy way to get the ideas out of your head and on to paper where you can evaluate them more easily.

o Plain white paper or simple graph paper make good backgrounds for your pencil sketches.

o Don't erase. Designing is not a linear process. Keep the pages with the designs that you didn't like. They may spark an idea or, upon later examination, offer something of value.

o Large design companies will often sketch out dozens of pages of logo concepts before they even touch a computer mouse. Take a tip from the pros and focus on your sketches first.[3]

3.Show the design to a test market. It may be tempting to move forward once you've come up with what seems to you to be a winning logo, but it's important to get feedback.

12 Product Development GMM260

Page 13: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

4. Get feedback from people in your target market. Show your design(s) to a sampling of people who fit the profile of your ideal customer. You may show them multiple designs or simply the one you feel to be the strongest candidate.

o Ask key questions that will reveal their reaction to the logo. Do they think it's boring or exciting? Ugly or attractive? Generic or unique? Also check to see what image or message the logo conveys to them, whether they find it easy to read/recognize and if it seems consistent with what they know about your company or about your industry.

5. Be wary of relying too heavily on family and friends. While you may want to informally get the opinion of those close to you, their comments may not offer the kind of feedback you'll find to be most useful.

o You can use family and friends to test your logo's memorability. Let them look at the design for a few seconds and then ask them to draw it. If they can remember most of it, then it's memorable.

6.Make sure that the design is scalable. Consider all the different ways you may use your logo--in newspaper ads, on signage, on your website. Your logo must function well whether it's being reproduced in a large or a small format.

o If a logo has too much detail or lines that are too thin, those elements may get lost or the logo may look too fussy at small sizes.

o If a logo is drawn to look good only at a business card size, it will tend to appear clunky when reproduced larger.

o Graphic design programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape will allow you to test the scalability of your design. If you're working by hand initially, try making copies of your design at different size settings.

13 Product Development GMM260

Page 14: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Part 3 of 3: Finalizing the Design

1.Create a final draft. Ultimately, you need to have your logo digitized. You can do this yourself or hire a professional to make it happen for you.

o Learn a graphic design program. The most used program is Adobe Illustrator but Inkscape is another offering, and it can be downloaded online for free.

There are a number of instructional books and websites that can help you learn Illustrator. Community colleges and some continuing education programs offer classes in this design program.

o Hire a professional graphic artist. If you already have a background in graphic arts, computer-assisted design or you're a quick study, then you may be able to do it yourself; otherwise, you're better off putting your work in the hands of a professional.

Visit designers' websites to see their portfolios. You want to choose someone who has experience working with logo design.

Ask about turnaround time. Depending on what stage your design is in, you may go through another revision with an artist or he or she may simply reproduce your idea as-is. In any case, find out how long it will take from the time you give them your design until you see a finished product.

Find out about costs. Again, where you are in your design process will impact the cost of this service. If you need someone to go back to square one with you in your design, that will be more expensive than if you are happy with the logo you've created and simply want to have it professionally computerized.

Check online services. There are a number of online graphic design services that allow you to pay a set fee and in return receive several logo designs from artists trying to win the job. You choose the design you like best and work with that artist through the completion of the project.

14 Product Development GMM260

Page 15: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

2.Keep listening. Once your logo is finished, it's important that you stay open to feedback on the design.

o Use social media. If your company has an established online presence, run your logo past those who are connected to you and listen to what they have to say.

Try your logo out on your website first. If the response to your logo isn't positive, it's easier and less expensive to revise and republish it on your website that to redo printed materials.

Importance of Product Development RMG sector:

Product development is most important for RMG sector and Specially for Bangladesh RMG sector. Because it helps to increase’s our product quality, production capacity, product reputation, industry reputation, product value, international goodwill etc.

So, We should more care about our Product development. Should be give more importance for a new product development. Because it’s totally new product in the market. Should give attention on the Garments quality. Quality is the most importance for a new product; if the quality is good then the product will be success in market.

Importance of Product Development

The importance of new product development is a result of the necessity for developing new products if a business is to survive. In other words, new product development is tied to the ability of a business to remain competitive and also to the longevity of such a business. Any business that does not realize the importance of developing new products will not last very long as a consequence of the fact that business is all about innovation and change, making it absolutely necessary for businesses to adapt to those changes in order to remain relevant. New product development may be geared toward the conceptualization of a new idea regarding a completely new line of products currently not in the market, or it could be aimed toward upgrading products that may be in the market already. Whatever the case, the development of new products is an essential part of the application of business strategies by companies. What Is New Product Development?

For a person coming up with an idea for a product on his or her own, the development may be guided by instinct and availability of input from family and friends. In the business world, however, each business that creates products usually has a specific approach to new product development (NPD). When the company has a Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this may well be his or her realm, and he or she may bring a personal approach or use a somewhat standard new product development process.

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

There are several more or less standard models for new product development consisting of a set of steps that many companies use or vary to suit their needs. In one generic version of product development, the basic steps in this product can be described as generating ideas; evaluating or screening the ideas; developing, testing, and refining concepts; performing a business analysis; doing the product and marketing mix development; market testing; and commercializing the product. The Men’s Wear Fashion TrendFlower glower! It was a dark, albeit blossoming, season for menswear in London, Florence, Milan, and Paris. Europe's designers kept the palette mostly dark (and, more often than not, blue), the fabrics largely seasonless, and the sport references extreme at the Spring 2014 shows. And no, the floral patterns that emerged as one of the season's big trends did nothing to lighten the mood. Still, even as Miuccia Prada chewed over the sinister implications of vacation and Haider Ackermann revived a decadent, slightly menacing romanticism, the collections this season were as strong as they were sinister. Here, the season's top trends, as well as pieces to own.

1. Source :- 1 web address www.style.com/ Link. 1 : www.style.com/trendsshopping/trendreport/071513_Menswear_Trends/

The Bold Statement PrintWhen looking to separate your outfit from the rest of the crowd, a bold, on trend print is a great place to start. So, forget all about accent accessories and subtle detailing this summer and instead opt for a patterned shirt, jumper, t-shirt or pair of trousers.

When it comes to putting together your own outfits, turn to the SS14 runways for inspiration. The likes of Ami, Prada, Versace and DSquared2 featured a plethora of eye-catching trousers, in-your-face shirts and statement-making sweaters – all paired with a wide variety of pieces.

Yet, as always, the key is to keep the rest of your look fuss-free and neutral. By pairing your printed item with classic wardrobe staples not only will you avoid creating a patterned mess, but you will also allow your statement piece to take centre stage.

Just remember that trend-led prints often fall out of favour quickly and, as such, it would be wise to limit the amount you spend on an item like this. Our recommendation would be a printed tee from affordable high street stores such as Topman, River Island and H&M – combine it with everything from shorts and chinos to linen trousers and indigo jeans, creating a range of effortlessly cool off-duty looks.

Key motifs to consider for SS14 include floral, tropical, camouflage, ombre (gradient/dip-dye) and Aztec-inspired designs.

Short Shorts

It can be good to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while. Liberating, one might say. So with that in mind, consider ditching your mid-length shorts and opting for something a little more cropped this summer. Yes, short shorts are officially in vogue and can help mark you out as a stylish and confident gent, if you get them right.

Of course, it’s important to consider your body type and general demeanour before tackling this daring trend. Those with muscular legs can look particularly great in this cut for obvious reasons,

32 Product Development GMM260

Page 33: Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Research Paper Setting & Point Review 2014

Likewise, men who ooze masculinity and self-assuredness are much more likely to be able to pull off a pair (see Paul Newman and Steve McQueen below) as these type of shorts can appear delicate and feminine by their very nature.

There’s an undeniable aura of effortlessness that accompanies a men’s look built in some measure – or exclusively upon – neutral tones, particularly for spring & summer when a more sophisticated aesthetic prevails. It’s all about a subtle interpretation of luxury, with key pieces defined by unrivalled versatility, that speak of confidence and exclusivity.

DENIMDenim shopping for men can be a little overwhelming at times: you’re either lumped with options that are so safe and traditional they feel dated, or so over the top you wouldn’t be game to leave the house in them. When it comes to finding something both wearable and fashionable, it’s the in-between space that’s often the best.

Whether you’re hunting for a new pair of classic blue jeans, want to inject a little colour into your casual wardrobe for winter, or want to know how to layer up your denim in interesting ways, read on: here’s a guide to some of the key denim trends for men this season that will stay in fashion in 2014

Source :- 3 web address www.style.com/ Link.3 : http://www.fashionising.com/trends/b--jeans-for-men-28656.html

The Oversized Tee Although well-cut t-shirts form the backbone of any successful capsule wardrobe, this season why not consider adding an oversized option to your collection? Loose and relaxed, they subtly stand out against ubiquitous slim-fit tees while simultaneously keeping you cool in the heat.

Again, we question this trend’s longevity but it does offer a fresh and unique alternative to the classic crew necks we often rely on at this time of the year.

There are two easy ways to achieve this effect: you can purchase a t-shirt featuring an oversized cut (Topman and ASOS produce these) in your standard size, or stick with your favourite brand and simply ‘size up’ – for example, if you are usually a size small try a medium or even a large to get your desired look.

Our styling advice would be to keep it simple and classic. Opt for an oversized t-shirt in timeless black, grey or white and combine with slim/skinny cut jeans, chinos or shorts. An oversized tee makes a statement on its own, especially when you juxtapose it against a fitted bottom half, so there is no need to go overboard here.Alternatively, try layering your t-shirt underneath a crew neck jumper, open shirt or bomber jacket to emphasise the effect while playing with the concept of silhouette.

Toronto, December 30, 2013 – Words can’t begin to express how much I hate winter. There’s absolutely nothing positive about this freezing arctic hell and everything that comes with it. Ice storms, damaged homes, car accident carnage, and that nagging bone-chilling wind are all just too much to bear.So while I hibernate over the next few months and retailers clear their FW13 stock to make room for spring 2014, let’s think ahead to some Spring/Summer 2014 Trends. As with every season, there are strong carryover fashion trends that build on the momentum of seasons past. If you’ll recall, SS13 focused on the Gatsby revival, camo prints, and punches of neon, bold colours and metallics – all still relevant in SS14.

SS14 introduces us to some exciting new menswear trends as well. Highlights from the SS14 collections in London, Milan, and Paris can be found by clicking on their respective hyperlinks. Although there are many SS14 trends that we are excited about, here in no particular order is a list of our favourite, or Essentials. They include: Desperado (Mexican Western), Floral Prints, Statement Trousers, Black & White, Varsity Jacket Redux, Polka Dots, Baby Blues, Pleats, Dress-padrilles, and Coveralls.

Like or hate what you see? Something missing? We would love to hear from you in the comments section below!

The undisputed kings of desperado for SS14 are Etro. Influenced by Zorro, but looking more like Mexican Mariachis, Etro’s cowboy boot clad, sombrero toting models strutted the runway in Western themed shirts, scarves, bandanas, and tooled leather. It was enough to impress Clint Eastwood. Costume National featured straw cowboy hats, which accessorized their futuristic cowboys. Topman Design offered a toned-down version of the Western theme, focusing mainly on the embroidered shirts with a cowboy glam twist. We’re not saying to go full cowboy, but a touch of Western this summer would be pretty awesome.

For several seasons now, floral prints have been all over the runways in menswear. We first listed them in our SS12 Essentials and even dedicated an entire post to prints. The love affair with florals continues in SS14 with Prada,Dries Van Noten and Gucci leading the charge. While many designers dabble in floral prints sticking mainly to accessories, others are daring enough to go all out creating floral print suits. If you’ve been following along, you’re probably all set in the floral print department. If not, then next season is your chance to catch up.

More often than not, a guy will dabble in statement suits, shirts, accessories and maybe even outwear. However, it takes a rare breed to pull off statement trousers. We’re not talking about plaid, check or houndstooth printed pants. This trend is much louder than that. We’re talking bombastic Michael Bastian pineapples-all-over-your-junk-turned-up-to-eleven loud. If you’re going to try this, think party (not work) atmosphere. Also, you’ll want to keep every other part of your outfit modest (see photo above).

It’s as simple any trend could be. Contrasting black and white for SS14, at the basic level, a black shirt and white shorts/pants or vice versa. For contemporary fashion designers, it’s clearly more advanced than that. Take Alexander McQueen for example, a entirely monochromatic collection featuring Edwardian motifs on everything from shirting to suits. Ann Demeulemeester played with black and white vine prints on outerwear and sports jackets, as well as thick stripes. Then there’s Christopher Kane’s brilliant black and white computer imaging on everything from shirts to shorts. Overall, is there a simpler trend to exploit? It works on the most timid to the most daring of men. You can’t go wrong.

Varsity and bomber jackets are obviously not new. They’ve been experiencing a resurgence in both men’s and women’s fashion these past few seasons. This is not the average everyday letterman jacket and bomber. It’s a lot thinner, at times there’s bonding instead of stitching, more luxurious leather is being used, elastic sleeves and collars are different, natural and synthetic fabrics being mixed, etc. Fashion designers are tinkering with the traditional varsity and bomber jacket, coming up with contemporary versions or a varsity jacket redux. These jackets by Diesel Black Gold and Carven fit the bill nicely. You may want to check out Louis Vuitton as well. Another great piece to incorporate into your personal style for SS14.
