MMDA Resolution No. 15-14Series of 2015

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND RECOGNIZING THE UNSELFISH ANDNOBLE SERVICES RENDERED BY HON. ATTY. FRANCIS N. TOLENTINO DURINGIDS INCUMBENCY AS CHAIRMAN OF THE METROPOLITAN MANILADEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

WHEREAS, the MMA was created and constituted under Executive Order No. 392,dated January 4, 1990;

WHEREAS, the MMA was replaced by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority(MMDA) upon the enactment of Republic Act 7924;

WHEREAS, the Metro Manila Council (MMC), the governing board and policy makingbody of the MMDA is composed of the MMDA Chairman, as MMC Chairman and MetroManila Mayors as Members;

WHEREAS, Honorable Atty. Francis N. Tolentino was appointed by President BenignoSimeon C. Aquino III as Chairman of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority;

WHEREAS, during his term, the Honorable Chairman has introduced innovations inMMDA, thus, improving the services of the authority to the public;

WHEREAS, the Honorable Chairman, in cooperation with the Metro Manila Mayors hasinitiated several and various disaster programs intensifying public awareness and preparedness intimes of calamities;

WHEREAS, the Honorable Chairman enhance and encourage the spirit of camaraderie,cooperation and coordination among the members of the Council;

WHEREAS, considering that the term of Office of the Honorable Chairman is at its end,the Metro Manila Mayors as well as the whole constituency of Metro Manila, expresses warmthgratitude and appreciation for the services he rendered.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that the Council, after duedeliberation and in session assembled, agrees to adopt this resolution, in recognition andcommendation of the unselfish services rendered by Hon. Atty. Francis N. Tolentino, during hisincumbency as Chairman of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
