Design Philosophy

Design should complement the fluidity of our daily lives. We need spaces to stimulate well-being, provoke liveliness and provide comfort for varying lifestyles. As designers, we can accomplish these goals by understanding client needs and striving to deliver above and beyond their expectations.

Objective

Rem Koolhass

“Architecture can't do anything that the culture doesn't.” - Koolhass

The ideation project consisted of a two-step process. The first part was to research an assigned architect or designer. As a group of four, we researched the methods and ideology of Rem Koolhaas. The second step was to split up into partners and research an assigned culture. My group was given the Moorish culture. The final step was to combine the two aspects and create a gallery space to display the works and accomplishments of Koolhass. This project primarily focused on research, group think, and model making.
