Regular and Irregular Verbs
• Regular verbs end with –ed in the past and past participle forms.
• Irregular verbs have past and past participle forms that are spelled in other ways.
• Most of the verbs you have learned about so far have been regular verbs. The irregular verbs you have studied are be, do, and see. The chart on the next slide shows how some verbs form their principal parts. The first two verbs are regular verbs. The next five are irregular verbs.
