Spanish is the second most widely spoken language in the world. The experience, innovation and professionalism in its teaching and training are indicators of excellence spread al over the campus of the four public universities of Castilla y León: University of Burgos, University of León, University of Salamanca and University of Valladolid - the last two recognized as the oldest in Spain-. The great news is that for the first time they have come together to design a Spanish course in which to experience, through language and culture, the excellence of 4 universities and 4 cities that concentrate the largest number of World Heritage Sites in the country.
Therefore, the four have designed and coordinated the following academic program, integrated in four weeks and carried out in the four universities. The purpose of the program is to provide a comprehensive training in learning Spanish and Hispanic culture in four excellent universities where history meets the future.
01 Introduction
Four weeks Intensive Spanish, designed with the objective to provide the student with the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to communicate within the level taught. Training of the four integrated basic skills, strengthening of grammar and vocabulary through a communicative context will be our major goals.
The methodology follows a communicative and dynamic approach.. From the beginning students will actively use the language, interacting with their classmates and working in groups.
There are many outdoor lessons, cultural visits and activities, every day: tasting in wineries of Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Bierzo, cathedrals, convents and palaces, Museum of Human Evolution, workshop in the International Cooking School, “tapas” experience, Contemporary Art Center, concert of the university “tuna”...
There are excurssions, every week: route through the channel of castile by boat, medieval villages, excursion through the province of Vallado-lid, Las Medulas, Sierra de Francia and the Way of El Cid...
02Description of the course
In all cases, the students will experience university life in a hall of residence: a single room and full board.
The dates of stay will be the following:
University of Burgos (UBU): Entry on Sunday, June 30 and departure on Sunday 7 after breakfast, bound for Valladolid.
University of Valladolid (UVA): Entrance on Sunday July 7 from Burgos and departure on Sunday July 14 after breakfast, bound for León.
University of León (ULE): Entry on Sunday July 14 and departure on Sunday 21, after breakfast, bound for Salamanca.
University of Salamanca (USAL): Entry on Sunday July 21 and depar-ture on Sunday 28, after breakfast, bound for Madrid.

Diploma granted by the 4 Universities.
Official reception.
Transfer upon arrival at the Madrid-Barajas airport to the respective offices of Burgos, Valladolid, León and Salamanca, and back to the airport for departure.
Coordination and administrative work.

04Services
All students must bring their own medical insurance from their country of origin to cover expenses derived from any accident, illness or other mishap that may occur during the group's stay throughout the course.
05Medical Insurance
This 4-week program taught in the four public Universities of Castilla y León, including the chronogram of academic and all complementary activities (cultural visits, excurssions...) proposed for all courses (A2 and B1) has a total cost of € 2,400 per person.
