Institutional weakness of drainage system.
To enact the Town planning law/ important law/ under
preparation has not yet been enacted.

To prepare urban flood management programme in
advance for township and national levels.
To seek fund and allocate budget for implementation
works for unban flood management including capacity

Develop the legal and policy framework for unban
flood management in parallel with the formulation of
town plan.
Conclusion Urban flood management is a specific part of IWRM .
Presentation is based on my experience gained during
30 years Government Services
Execution of Myanmar IWRM , including flood
management ,working level Professionals of line
agencies cooperate and coordinate among and each
others.
Can I floor clear presentation for the audience .Not
We are trying our best under the several governance.
We have different situations to compare with other countries
including Asean Countries .
Now, we have new constitution, Government and policy and hard
workingship of Government .
At this moment , the most important issue for urban flood
management is to keep keen focus with priority action for this
particular area.
