Delays in drying lead to moldy grain and yellow kernels Difficult to control temperature.If the sunshine is too strong,overheating of grains can result in cracked grains.When we mill the rice,the broken kernel percentage will be high. According to our experience,the cracked kernels could be up to 50% if the paddy is not dried properly under sunshine Advantages of driers Stable temperature -avoid overheating No delay if the weather is bad -avoid delay The cracked kernels could be reduced to below 10% by using driers The heat is provided from burning husk,the cost is lower than diesel.Energy saving.
