Vintage Martini


Case Study

Vintage Martini is a Dallas based, vintage clothing retailor that deals in high-end vintage fashion from major brands. Our goal is to redesign the Vintage Martini website to make it easier for the audience to navigate, contact, and purchase vintage fashion from their online store. We are also determined to give the site a more refined and estheticly pleasing overall look and feel.

Background Vintage Martin is a Dallas based vintage clothing retailer that has been on line since 1999.

Target Audience Adult men and women who enjoy the elegance of high-end fashion from a different eras in history. The audience knows where fashion plays into it.Users are people who under-stand how vintage is worn today and how searching through vintage clothes is an art from. These people know vintage pieces can add a certain touch to any outfit.

Objectives To give the target audience an easy to maneuver, pleasant exper ience with an opt ion to purchase vin-tage fashions on the Vintage Martini site.

Obsticles To create a new logo that fits the company better than the one being used on the site. To create a standardized naviga-tion system that helps tie the site together from one page to the next. Create a place where you can purchase items on-line, the current site only has contact information for this. To make all the necessary changes for improving the site while giving it the vintage fashion look and feel.

Key Benefits Once the site is redesigned, it will improve the usabili-ty for the target audience, improve online sales and in-crease the profit margin for the company.

Supporting Statement The Vintage Martini site at this time is very diff icult to maneuver. The navigation bar is placed at the bottom of most pages, but varies from page to page. There is nowhere to purchase vintage clothing from the actual site. The overall user experience of the site is very bad and we hope to improve that with our redesign.

Toneto reflect the quality of the clothing they sell. People who shop vintage clothing are well educated on the styles, and they know what they are looking to buy. The tone should show off the fashion trends that are coming out of dormancy and becoming trendier then before.

1920’s Knickers in a ivory wool with a check board pattern. But-ton closure and button fly. Belt loops around the waistband. Inset pockets on the sides and button closing inset pockets on the back. The pants are full through the legs and end in pleats at the leg bands. Tab and buckle closures.

Condition: Fabulous. One pea size yellow stain next to the fly, just beneath the waistline.

Cotton knit cardigan with button closures down the front and deco-rative seams on either side. The color fades from a light gray, ombres to a dark bluish gray on the bottom.
