Heb 9:27 - 28 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a (1)second time, (2)apart from sin, (3)for salvation.

When God delivered Israel out of Egypt, His plan was for them to enter the promised land, not to dwell and die in the wilderness.

God delivered Israel from Egypt through Moses. Salvation from the wilderness into the Promised Land came through Joshua, by God.

The purpose of salvation is to convey you into the promised land, the kingdom of God.
