Generally speaking, there are two types of obstacles (with one exception; All In*):

A) 1 attempt + penalty: You have only one attempt to successfully finish the obstacle. If you fail during that one attempt, you have to complete a penalty lane. Example: Swing To Win

B) Unlimited attempts + mandatory completion: You have to attempt the obstacle as many times and as long until you finally finish it. Example: Rock Climb

Penalty: The penalty lane is between 100m and 200m long. Each penalty lane has an additional weight that has to be

carried. The difficulty and length of the penalty lane matches the difficulty of the failed obstacle.

*All In: Each athlete has two attempts to complete this obstacle. There are two segments in the obstacle, if you fail an attempt

you have to redo the segment you failed (+ the following one). If the athlete fails at the first segment twice, he/she has to do

penalty lane #1. If the athlete succeeds at the fist but fails with their second attempt at the second segment, he/she has to do

penalty lane #2.
