Recycling for our FUTURE!
The United States is the world’s largest trash producing country.
Producing 1609 pounds of trash
Per Person Per Year
The Population discards unbelievable amounts of products over a year’s time.
16,000,000,000 Diapers.220,000,000 Pens.2,000,000,000 Razor Blades.220,000,000 Car Tires.Enough aluminum to rebuild the United States Commercial Fleet 4 times over.
1/3rd of an Average dump is made out of packing materials.
For every ton of paper recycled, we save:
17 Trees.380 Gallons of Oil.3 Cubic Yards of Landfill Space.4000 Kilowatts of Energy.7000 Gallons of Water
17 Trees can absorb a total of 250 pounds of Carbon Dioxide.
BURNING those same 17 trees could produce 1500 pounds of Carbon Dioxide.
Recycling a single run of the Sunday New York Times
would save at least 75,000 trees!
Wall Street Journal nearly
doubles that at 145,000!

There are so many ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
You can start small and change the light bulbs in your home from conventional to LED bulbs.
Recycling bins are an easy way to get organized.
The amount of recycling in 2007 saved the energy equivalent of 10.7 billion gallons of gasoline and
prevented the release of carbon dioxide of approximately 35 million cars.
Approximately 8,660 curbside recycling programs exist in the United States.
No Excuses!
