Small world cars and roads

Toilet roll cars

You will need: • Toilet rolls • Split pins • Paint • Card • Scissors • White labels • Black pen • Pencil • Blu Tack™

Directions

• Paint toilet roll in chosen colour • Whilst the paint is drying, draw around

the base of a toilet roll 4 times onto card

• Cut out each of the circles to make the wheels, then colour a tyre around the edge

• Ask an adult to help you cut 3 sides of a small rectangle out of the top of the tube (once dry). Fold the tube back along the 4th side to make a seat.

• Using a pencil and Blu Tack™, make a hole in the centre of each wheel and at 4 points on the tube. Use split pins to attach the wheels to the cars.

• Add detail as desired, e.g. racing car number/stripes.

• Whizz your car around a shape track!
