Reasons for & Against Cross-Clans (Hybrid decks in vanguard) – By Nic Ngo For Against It is technically allowed by Bushiroad in the English format (Proof below) Not all players will know about the cross clan rules like how effects / abilities cannot always be activated due to it targeting a different clan, or how not all triggers can be active, but it takes a bit of time for people getting used to it Add more variety of decks to the game due to all the support of other clans (mainly through the legion season of releases) Some people dislikes the idea of cross-clans Adds more fun to some people for seeing hybrid decks and the combos they can pull off The Japanese format doesn’t allow cross-clans at the moment Makes people think more about the game and the way it is played due to people thinking very carefully about how they play their cards because of the abilities / effects that may not work due to their abilities targeting specific clans Not all shops / clubs know about cross-clans yet May persuade people to buy more packs / boosters due to the higher chance of pulling something good like a GR rather than trading for it because they can use it in their decks even though it is not part of their clan Cross-Clans cannot be used in team league due to the team needing exactly 3 clans not more apart from royal pladins (using the MLB build) and Link joker (Using the Glensios build) Some people likes the idea of cross-clans Cross-Clan Rules: 1 - No ruling for having a hybrid deck in tournaments UNLESS organised in a format by the shop.

Reasons for & Against Cross-Clans (Hybrid decks in vanguard) By Nic NgoForAgainst

It is technically allowed by Bushiroad in the English format (Proof below)Not all players will know about the cross clan rules like how effects / abilities cannot always be activated due to it targeting a different clan, or how not all triggers can be active, but it takes a bit of time for people getting used to it

Add more variety of decks to the game due to all the support of other clans (mainly through the legion season of releases) Some people dislikes the idea of cross-clans

Adds more fun to some people for seeing hybrid decks and the combos they can pull off The Japanese format doesnt allow cross-clans at the moment

Makes people think more about the game and the way it is played due to people thinking very carefully about how they play their cards because of the abilities / effects that may not work due to their abilities targeting specific clansNot all shops / clubs know about cross-clans yet

May persuade people to buy more packs / boosters due to the higher chance of pulling something good like a GR rather than trading for it because they can use it in their decks even though it is not part of their clanCross-Clans cannot be used in team league due to the team needing exactly 3 clans not more apart from royal pladins (using the MLB build) and Link joker (Using the Glensios build)

Some people likes the idea of cross-clans

Cross-Clan Rules:1 - No ruling for having a hybrid deck in tournaments UNLESS organised in a format by the shop.2 - As long as you stick to the rules of building a deck (16 triggers, max 4 heal triggers, max 4 copies of any card in a deck), not really anything else besides the obvious "Barcgal" Lizard Soldier, Conroe and Epitome of Knowledge, Silvest restriction.3 - NORMAL Boosting isn't clan specific. So you can NORMAL boost units from different clans. TRIGGER or SKILL boosting is another matter. TRIGGERS require at least one unit of that Trigger's clan on the field on VG or RG to activate. SKILL boosting needs to follow the conditions required to perform it (if applicable when it requires units/vanguard of the same clan, and if so what units it can affect).4 - You can splash / put in units of any clan or nations in a deck. Although there are some cards that will splash / conflict with some cards in the deck, others may suffer power drops due to CONTINUOUS abilities they have.5 - Official tournaments allow any deck at this time provided they follow any restrictions in place (Again, Barcgal and Conroe ban as starting VG). Some custom tournaments that are hosted may have restrictions on what clans can participate (You need to check with the T.O before the tournament to see if it is allowed). if it's an official tourney of sorts (ones with PR cards as participation prizes) then Cross-Clans is allowed.Cross-Clan Rules source (with edits to make it easier to understand: http://bushiroad.fm/post/en/1069/Hybrid+decks+What+are+the+Do+s+and+Dont+s+_.html
