From the Parish Priest A very big thank-you to Nicole King and her
many helpers for a wonderful ANZAC Day Gala last Saturday evening in Our Lady’s Hall. It was a great event and I’m sure everyone present enjoyed the night. The evening also raised approximately $3000 for the parish, for which we are most grateful. Mark your diaries for the next
dance: Saturday 15th August.
On Tuesday we draw the next monthly prize of $50 in the parish art union: good luck to all ticket holders! Tickets are $25 each, which gets you in all remaining draws, including the November jackpot draw of at least $500. Application forms are at the back of the church, or the parish website, or purchase tickets directly at
the parish office.
The annual Corpus Christi Celebration with Eucharistic procession, Rosary, prayers and Benediction will take place on Sunday 7th June at 2:00pm at Ambrose Treacy College (formerly Nudgee Junior), Twigg Street, Indooroopilly.

The parish office continues to be closed this week. It will reopen on Monday 11th May. Urgent matters can be phoned to my mobile. For non-urgent matters please email the parish or
phone the parish number and leave a message.
In the coming week we will welcome the fourth priest-member of the Brisbane Oratory as Father Scot Armstrong moves into 16 Ferndale Street. Father Scot has been a priest of the Diocese of Wagga Wagga, a lecturer at Vianney Seminary, Wagga Wagga, and up until recent weeks the Parish Priest of Ganmain. Welcome to Father
Scot!
We keep in our prayers the people of Nepal following the dreadful earthquake. If you’d like to make an offering to assist Caritas who are on the ground assisting in the relief effort, please go to
www.caritas.org.au.
With the news of Helen Camden’s retirement from Mary Immaculate School, we will have a parish farewell and thank-you for her at
the 5:00pm Mass on Sunday 14th June.

GIVE THE GIFT OF FAITH. Did you know that you can create a gift to the parish that lasts forever? Please consider naming the parish as one of the beneficiaries in your Will. You can designate a specific gift amount to the parish or create a permanent endowment fund in your family name which will provide perpetual support for the Church. With endowment funds, the principal is kept intact and the distributions come to the parish each year from growth and earnings. This provides a steady stream of income to the parish forever. For more information on naming our parish in your Will, please call the Catholic Foundation at 07 3324 3200 or [email protected]
From the PARISH OFFICE
Please note that, as per Fr Adrian’s previous notice, the Parish Office will be closed from Monday April 27th until Friday May 8th, inclusive. Items may be handed in to the priests at Mass times and priests are available via email and mobile phone at all times for urgent matters. For all non-urgent enquiries, please leave a message on 3848 1107 or phone Shirley from 9:00am on May 11th.

LITURGY
Gloria 1st Reading: Acts 9/26-31
Responsorial Psalm 21 (Said by all)
My vows I will pay before those who fear him. The poor shall eat and shall have their fill. They shall praise the Lord, those who seek him. May their hearts live for ever and ever!
All the earth shall remember and return to the Lord, all families of the nations worship before him. They shall worship him, all the mighty of the earth; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust.
And my soul shall live for him, my children serve him. They shall tell of the Lord to generations yet to come, declare his faithfulness to peoples yet unborn: 'These things the Lord has done.' 2nd Reading: 1 John 3/18-24 Gospel Acclamation: Alleluia, alleluia! Live in me and let me live in you, says the Lord; my branches bear much fruit. Alleluia! Gospel: John 15/1-8
Profession of Faith: Creed
Holy Holy Memorial Acclamation: Number Two
When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death, O Lord, until you come again. Lamb of God
