_. Mora was born in El Paso Texas, January 19th, 1942. She writes on many topics such as poetry, children’s
books, and nonfiction writing. She taught in the university of New Mexico as an distinguished visiting
professor. Mora also was a museum director and consultant for US-Mexico youth exchanges. She’s received two degrees. She got a BA from Texas Western College in 1963 and got an MA from the
University of Texas, El Paso in 1967.She spends most of her time writing and traveling to schools and other
events to teach young writers. She travels around there inspiring young writers and every once in a while
traveling to other schools in the US teaching them about writing to. She is now retired and lives peacefully in
Santa Fe, New Mexico and Cincinnati, Ohio.
