Summary

Theatre Club, Pratigya, organized the auditions cum competition for the students of

MBA and BBA to provide them a platform to showcase their talents and abilities. The

activity was judged by Mr. Amit Tiwari ,Theatre Director and Trainer, Vayam Performing

Arts Society.

Numerous students registered themselves for this event and showed their immense

talent. They gave their performances after choosing a chit from a bowl that contained

various situations. They were also given impromptu situations by the judge to examine

their caliber, creativity and presence of mind and body language. These tasks included

uses of particular prop, dancing, singing, reflecting different emotions on same dialogue,

highest decibel that they could speak in, etc.

Sir was very supportive and helped the nervous participants and made them

comfortable and assisted them what to perform and how to perform. He also assisted

the students with the knowledge about the basic concept and the importance of theatre

in personal and professional life and also motivated them to perform better and never

lose confidence in themselves as portraying your view on the stage in front of crowd is

not that much easy.

Numerous aspects of theatre experiences were shared by Sir. This activity helped thestudents in gaining some insights about theatres scope and significance and also abouttheir talents and weakness.

The number of participants were 40 out of which 29 got selected as a part of TheatreSociety PRATIGYA: A Pledge to Change.

The best performer during the audition were:

1st Position Prashant Singh (BBA- 1st Semester)

2nd Position Shubham Baid (BBA- 1st Semester)

2. Stage ethics were missing in most of the new participantAction Taken: As it was audition for the selection of RDAIS theater society members which is further

followed by 10 days workshops on theater values. In this workshop Mr. Amit Tiwari Sir willcover all the basics and required thing related with theater. So all the gaps identified will betaken care in that.

Conclusion: These types of activities give change to everyone to understand himself in a better way. Theyhelps us to remind us that we all are unique and everyone is full of emotions and talent onlything is we have to give them a proper direction.

Over all it is a search of better person in the same person.
