NOTE: 200/208 volt single phase is not a standardand should be avoided. 115 volt single phase or200/208 volt three phase should be used.

DONT OVERSIZE MOTORS

Motors run most efficiently at their rated output and atlow loads, power factors decrease. Standard Openmotors have a minimum service factor of 1.15 whichprovides insurance for system variations.

AVOID TOTALLY ENCLOSED MOTORS

Quietaires ventilator motors are mounted in enclosedcompartments protected from exhaust air The Quietaire

wheel design provides positive flow of outside airthrough the compartment for motor cooling. Enclosedmotors are rarely justified and if used, would run hot-ted, less efficiently and have a shorter life.

GENERALComplete performance data for each size is shownon pages 4 through 14. In addition to tabular data,performance curves for each size at various speedsare shown for easy visual interpolation. Threetypicalsystem curves are also superimposed on the fancurves for guidance.

I1OSE LEVELS

Noise levels are listed in sones which offer a linearrelationship between values. Sone values are at 5feet from fan inlet and do not represent room sones.See AMCA Bulletin 302 for application details.

Tip speeds are not a valid indication of noiseproduced between units of different designs. TheQuietaire wheel design will be quieter even at higherspeeds due to the smooth flow through the wheeland inlet.

sizes with capacities to 2600 CFM. Direct drive reduces

maintenance. Optional electronic speed control increases

flexibility by providing variable performances over an

Quietaire’s Belt Drive Wall Exhausters are available in five

sizes with capacities to 7200 GEM. Belt driven unitsfeature wide performance capabilities and readily available

No employee, agent, dealer, or other person is authorized to give any warranties on behalf of Quietaire or to assume for Quietaire any other liability in connection with any of its products escept in writing and

signed by an officer of Quietaire.

system design. Any such assistance shall be at Quixtaire sole option and may be subject to additional charge
