SBA BOARD

Caitlin E. RobinettSincerely,

Have a great week, Santa Clara.

From The Editor:

Still my favorite Halloween to date. (I’m next to the pirate.)

Could it be that another week has gone by already?

Keep your eye out for the second edition of The Advocate this week. There is a lot of election material included for those of you still undecided on candidates and/or propositions.

I hope to see you “getting down” at the Halloween Bar Review on Thursday. It will be nice to escape and pretend that we’re not law students for awhile.

“They’re out to get you, there’s demons closing in on every side

They will possess you unless you change the number on your dial.

Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together

All thru the night Ill save you from the terror on the screen,Ill make you see...”

In Memory of Tim PramerAs all of you know, Tim Pramer passed away on Aug 28, 2008. Though early in the semester, Tim touched the lives of those around him. Even those who didn’t know him very well or at all were touched by his death. As law students, we are going through a unique experience. During these years at law school, no one understands us better than those who are walking this path with us. We are Santa Clara Law Students, and to lose one of our own leaves a void we can nev-er replace. As a tribute to Tim, we would like to donate a limited edition paver that will be placed in the entrance path and walkway that lead to the new Har-rington Learning Commons, Sobrato Technology Center, and Orradre Library at the heart of campus. This paver will be inscribed with Tim’s name and class year and will be placed sometime in the spring. Though Tim is no longer with us, we would like to donate a permanent memorial in hopes that Tim’s joy for life is never forgotten.

We will be collecting donations for the paver this week, October 27th through October 30th. There will be a box set up in the student lounge for anyone to leave their donation, or donations can be given directly to Karlina Paredes, Meredith Edwards, or Carlos Rosario. Please feel free to leave your name or do-nate anonymously, and both cash and check will be accepted. Checks should be made out to Carlos Rosario, the 1L class representative overseeing this project.

Thank you.
