The quote for this week is directed at all the 2Ls out there that are taking Advocacy this semester. As we are inevitably staying up late and second-guessing our-selves, may we remember that our willpower can be just as strong as a triple-shot caramel macchiato (™ ?). I hope we can all find the strength within ourselves as we are completing the 21st page, the 22nd page, the 23rd...

I also feel as though it’s important to mention that who-ever gives out ratings for movies on Comcast only gave The Goonies two stars. I’m not sure exactly what this means, but I think it’s profoundly about the power of our perceptions. (That, and maybe how dangerous it can be to take yourself so seriously. You may end up being the fool that only have The Goonies two stars.)

I’m looking forward to a couple milestones this week. I am looking forward to finishing my first draft of my Advocacy brief. I am looking forward to seeing my first official issue of The Advocate in print (please pick up a copy and enjoy). I am also looking forward to celebrat-ing my grandmother’s 80th birthday. She had two chil-dren by the time she was 21 and graduated from college in the 1950s.

How’s that for that for an indomitable will?

Have a good week, Santa Clara.

SBA BOARD

Caitlin E. RobinettSincerely,
