1.In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Discuss the ways in which your film noir/horror incorporates generic conventions, identify specific scenes
My thriller film uses the generic conventions of this genre by building up to something and adding suspense up until something happens and I have done this by a sequence of shots slowly building up to something and the use of music which is building up during the song and movie to keep that suspense which the movie has done so well to make
How does your sequence develop or challenge these conventions?
My film doesn’t do much to challenge the conventions of the genre I have chosen but it does develop them and uses the conventions of everyday thriller movie by having a plot and building until it until it happens
Does the use of conventions indicate what subgenre or hybrid your sequence is?
I don’t think my movie has a specific convention which separates it between subgenre’s, as it doesn’t really have too many defining features of many sub genres
Does your use of conventions indicate what other film noir/horrors have influenced your work? If so, then be specific with examples.
There are some other films with some similar conventions as the movie I have made myself but I cannot remember the names of them to give examples though I have had a lot of influences as all of the thriller movies I had watched over the years had somehow contributed to this and my influences.
