WRITTEN CODES

In our film we used film titles because the use of titles is an expectation of the

brief and because film titles are an expectation of any film. The titles were fairly simple, and we could have been

more creative, however I am happy with the titles created and feel they are

to a satisfactory standard.

AUDIO CODES

The music we used I feel added drama and built suspense in the film which is often the

case in other films. However I feel a very new genre of music ‘trap’ which had never been used in a film like ours. This made our film seem more modern and gave it an urban

edge.

Also the language of our characters was slang which made the characters seem more

believable and relatable too.

SYMBOLIC CODES

As all films do we use symbolic codes to present our film as being

of a particular genre. We also used codes as a narrative device… for example we had David who was

presented as a middle class family man and Tank as a working class

hoodlum always in trouble.

TECHNICAL CODES

The camera angles what were use were industry standard, and the

camera movement was similar to films of the same genre of ours

(Action/Drama)

The edit was fairly slow paced which created and drama, a

technique used in many films.
