QSC Log books – to be added to the bylaws
Qld Superkart Club - Vehicle Log Books • The Qld Superkart Club Log Book is to be a competition record for QSC superkarts, to be retained
by the owner and presented at each race meeting. • A QSC Log Book can be issued to a superkart owner after a scrutineering check by a QSC nominated scrutineer. Owner's details are recorded, the inclusion of superkart photos is optional. • The QSC Log Book number will be :- the Year of Issue followed by a Three digit number that includes the owners QSC recorded race number. One or two digit race numbers can be preceded by zero/s. The QSC Log Book Vehicle ID shall be used for those superkarts with CAMS Log Books, and be the same as noted within CAMS Log Books, otherwise to be left blank. • A superkart change of ownership needs to be recorded in the appropriate page of the QSC Log
Book by an authorised QSC Officer, and attested with a valid QSC stamping. • At each QSC Race Meeting that is a Non-CAMS event, the competitor's QSC Log Book will have added a notation by the meeting QSC DSO. The notation will record an event name and date, and be validated by one of the three stamps issued by the QSC. • Notations other than a 'Scrutiny' or 'Target Scrutiny Audit' check, do not signify regulation or safety
compliance. Scrutiny checks and/or Target Scrutiny Audit' checks will assess the superkart against relevant
regulations and technical compliance. Target Scrutiny Audit' checks are due after Six (6) competition
race events, or at Twelve(12) Month intervals whichever occurs first. Notations will be either 'NAFF'
or 'Not Compliant' with rectifications for compliance noted to the owner. There may be other
comments or additions.

Clarifying the 125cc non gearbox battery isolation wording: As Club and CAMS wording is slightly different CAMS wording:
(9.4.1.viii) Battery: The battery leads must be removable without recourse to tools unless the kart is fitted
with the MAX EVO battery box with integrated ignition and starter switch. The battery must be securely
attached directly or indirectly to the chassis using self-locking nuts and bolts/threaded metal rods.
Club ‘compliance checklist’ wording: 9.4.1.(vii)Where leads are not removable a manually operated circuit
breaker or isolating switch must be fitted.
Was decided to update Club Compliance check list so as not to conflict with CAMS wording.
Inclusion of Dunlop DFM into 125cc Non Gearbox
o Letter from Luke/Les May about including the Dunlop DFM on the 125cc Non-gearbox tyre list.
o Ashley Zahl brought a selection of tyres into the meeting, he indicated that the DFM is an ‘open’ class
tyre similar to the MG Yellow.
o The DFM isn’t an approved tyre in AKA for the rotax class, was discussed why we would want to allow
it in then.
o Ashley made some comments about the tyre deal between Dunlop and the AKA.
o Discussed about amount of testing that happened with this tyre and a lot of memebers felt it was
inadequate or not enough to draw a solid conclusion.
o Some members also felt the 6 tyres was already enough to choose from in a controlled class.
Vote:
For: 2
Against: 9
Abstain: 5
Therefore it was decided that QLD would vote against including the DFM onto the 125cc Non-gearbox tyre
list.
Pitting at Lakeside
Phil asked the question about how pit allocations were decided at lakeside and Roger informed us that QR is
working on a rotation system so that each group gets a different section each time.
