Qatar Shipping Company S.P.C (Q Ship) is a 100% subsidiary of Milaha (Qatar Navigation), headquartered in Doha, Qatar.
The company was incorporated in 1992, with Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Navigation (later re-branded as Milaha) as major share holders.
It was independently listed in the Qatar Stock Exchange up to 2010, after which it was fully acquired by Milaha (Qatar Navigation).
Q Ship owns and operates a fleet of 7 crude oil, product and LPG tankers. Additionally, the company owns and operates a fleet of 27 harbour crafts, comprising of tugs, pilot boats and mooring boats.
It has ownership stakes in Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC) and LNG vessels ranging from 15% to 100% with other stake holders such as Mitsui, NYK, K-Line, Nakilat and SCI. Additionally, the Milaha Group holds a 30% stake in Nakilat (Qatar Gas Transport Company)

We have a wide network of 250 officers and crew, with regular experienced officers in Top Four positions
We have experience of manning vessels chartered to oil majors such as Shell, Exxon and Total with full compliance with the matrix requirements
We manage the crew management for our oil and gas tanker fleet through Q Ship India Pvt. Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of Qatar Shipping, and is located in Mumbai, whereas our crew management team for container and bulk fleet and harbour crafts is based in Doha.
Q Ship India, manned by a team of 7 personnel, is headed by a former Master Mariner with 18 years of sailing experience followed by experience as a Superintendent in Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) and Q Ship.
We have career development plans for promising officers, with cases of company trainees progressing to become technical superintendents in shore offices

Q Ship has extensive experience in chartering-in vessels and spot market operations, and asset plays depending on prevailing market conditions. It charters in vessels in partnership with major counterparties to capture possible market opportunities.
Q Ship has consistently chartered out its vessels to Oil Majors and major trading houses, supported by in-house technical management.
Operations for the Oil and Gas tanker fleet is led by a Master Mariner, reporting to the CEO and supported by 5 personnel.
The Operations Superintendent is a former Master Mariner of Q Ship gas tanker fleet having extensive experience of LNGCs, VLGCs, LGCs and semi-ref carriers.
The Chartering Executive has substantial experience in pre and post fixture operations, including heading the demurrage team of global shipping major.
Our pre-fixture and post fixture operations are closely monitored, which has enabled us to stream line our operations.
