What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I have used many different types of technology in this project such as; the internet and Google search to do my research, blogger where I posted all of my work, survey monkey which I used to conduct a survey to find out my audiences view, power point which I used to display things which I have learnt, slide share which allows you to post slide shows on to your blogs, photo shop which I used for the actual construction of my magazine, I used a memory stick to keep all my work together, scanning images on to a computer which I used to put up my drawings of Photo layouts and SLR cameras to take my picture.

One of the first pieces of new technology that I discovered was blogger, this is where all of my work is being published so that it is easy to see and read. I found that it was easy to use once I had gotten the basic uses down, I can now

read and edit old posts,

upload new posts

put in images

add hyperlinks to my blog.

The next new piece of technology that I used was survey monkey, this is where you can create a survey then use a hyper link to place it on websites such as Facebook to allow people the chance to fill it in. I thought this was very easy to use, you just typed in the questions you wanted then the possible answers that could be given, once it is finished they collect the data for you then convert it in to charts which can be placed on to your blog, I used this with my survey of my target audience at the begging of this project.

Photoshop was one of the hardest pieces of new technology that I had to use, when I first went on it I couldn’t understand what I had to do to get it to work, it took me a couple more tries to fully understand how the layers worked, how to insert new images, how to cut round shapes and how to change the colour. After a while it became more easy to use photo shop tools. I learnt how to insert new images, edit the size o the page, edit images, how to crop round the image, how to add in new fonts and how to change the layers.

Another piece of new technology that I used was slideshare, this is a website that allows you to convert your slides in to hyper links which can be pasted on to your blogs so that they can be watched by other people. This was very simple to use, you simply find the file you wish to convert then copy the hyper link to where you want it to be (in this case my blog) then it will appear on there.

I also used a scanner to take some of my images that I draw in the planning stage on to the computer so that I can put them on to my blog, this was easy enough (once they where the right way up) all you had to do was place it on to the scanner, close the lid then click for it to be scanned on to the computer. Once this was done I had a digital image which I could use on my blog.
