Q6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of

constructing this product?

I have pretty much learnt how to use all the tools I have used in this project. The only ones I knew from the start was the shape and text.

Making the Front Cover

First the background was made on the canvas.

The chosen image now needs to be edited for the front cover.

The excess background has been rid of and now to edit it even further magic wand tool.

I have now used the colour replacement tool to get rid of any green glow from the models glasses or from the leather jacket.

The burn tool had to be used in order to made the models jacket a darker colour since the colour replacement tool rendered it a light black colour.

The image then had to be cropped before putting it on the background.

The image now on the front cover ready for the rest of the conventions.

This is the final front cover. Apart from the tools shown earlier all the rest were images, text and shapes.

Making the Contents Page

First I made the background for my contents page

Then I have to edit my image I am going to use

First I used the magic eraser tool this time to get all the big parts of the excess background

Page 5: Q6 - What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I then used the eraser to erase the tiny bits left over

The final image was then put on the background

Now that that was done, I added the rest of the contents page

Making the Double Page Spread

Firstly, I start off with a picture of a brick wall as the background and use the colour replacement tool to make it black and white and add a line down the middle to represent the double page.

Bringing up the last image going to be used for the double page spread and editing out the background either using the magic eraser or magic wand and I also need to make it black and white to match the background.

Once on the double page spread, fairly easy to fill in the rest of the text and shapes. The only other thing different about the page is that the shape page numbers are on have been flipped so they are opposite each other and the text is on a slightly transparent box to be more readable.
