Before configuring the Q-in-Q Service, login to the iAN8K B1000 Network Management System, and access the iAN8K B1000 Device Manager.
1 Configuring Q-in-Q ServicePerform the following procedures to configure Q-in-Q service:IPADSL8A configuration
1. Add PVC
2. Configure ADSL profile
3. lock ADSL port
4. Assign the ADSL profile to port
5. Unlock ADSL port
6. Check Port link up status
7. Add VLAN
ICM3Ge configuration:
1. Enable Double tagging2. Change internal port mode
3. Add SPVLAN
IPADSL8A configuration:Configure ATM Permanent Virtual Channels (PVC).Normal and control traffic between the IPADSL8A module and the subscriber's CPE is carried by Permanent Virtual Channel (PVC). PVC must be configured on the module first.
Each IPADSL8A module can have up to 384 PVCs, and each ADSL port has eight PVCs. Users can create up to seven PVCs. The eighth PVC is reserved for CPE management. If CPE management is disabled, all eight PVCs are available on each ADSL port.
Operator can configure up to 60 unique VPI/VCI index per IPADSL8A module, and identical VPI/VCI index used by different DSL ports are considered as one towards the total 60 budget.From the Configuration Management navigation tree, select [Node/Shelf (x) /Slot (y): IPADSL8A/ATM] to display the ATM VC Summary window.Add ATM VC
Click Add then select one or more port and add VPI/VCI click Apply.
Or batch add ATM VC
Configure the ADSL profile.Before an ADSL port is activated, parameters such as the ADSL line standard, transmission mode, upstream/downstream channel rate and Signal/Noise Ratio (SNR) margin must be set. Normally these parameters are set identically for each port. The ADSL profile is used to define the ADSL parameters. After configuring a profile(s), it can be assigned to one or more ADSL ports.
The ADSL Profile can be saved in the node profile database where users can import the ADSL Profile and save it to a node. Users can also generate a profile and export it to the profile database so that the profile can be used for other nodes.
A maximum of 256 templates, 256 service profiles and 256 spectrum profiles can be configured for each node.
Perform the following steps to configure an ADSL profile:
Configure a service profile.ADSL Service Profile defines various data rates range for both upstream and downstream. It also defines various L2 data rates.

Min L2 Data RateThis parameter specifies the minimum data rate during L2 power state. The L2 data rate must be greater than L2 exit rate
Range: 256 - 1024 Kbps
Default: 256 Kbps
L2 Exit RateThis parameter specifies the downstream data rate that triggers the exit from L2 power state. The L2 exit rate must be less than L2 data rate
Range: 0- 1024 Kbps
Default: 128 Kbps
Configure a spectrum profile.ADSL Spectrum Profile defines the line standard, transmission mode, SNR margin, etc.

Configure a configuration template which used the service profile and spectrum profile created in the previous steps.ADSL profile is in a form of template, a template is consisted of an ADSL Service Profile and an ADSL Spectrum Profile.
Lock the ADSL port, if unlocked, prior to ADSL port configuration.
Assign the ADSL profile to the ADSL port.This window displays the status and rate of each ADSL port. ADSL port can be locked or unlocked and a profile can be assigned to a locked ADSL port from this window.
Select one or more (use the Shift key) locked ADSL port entries and click .
Unlock the ADSL port to enable it.Click Unlock to enable port.
Check the link between the ADSL port and CPE.Check ADSL port operational status is Enable.
Check Current Rate from Channel status, ATU-C is for downstream; ATU-R is for upstream.
Add VLAN
From the configuration management navigation tree, select [Node/Shelf (x)/Slot (y): IPADSL8A/VLAN], and then select the VLAN tab to display the VLAN Summary window.
This window displays the VLANs created for a module and its related parameters. From this window a VLAN can be added, modified or deleted.Create VLAN 2, add wan port and bridge port 1:0.35.
ICM3Ge configuration
Enable Double tagging
To enable double tagging function, select Enabled from the Double Tagging radio buttons area.
The Confirmation Dialog Box will be displayed indicating the effect the action will cause. Click to enable the double tagging function.
Change internal port modeFrom the configuration management navigation tree, select the Ethernet port branch of the required module, [Node/Shelf (x)/Slot (y): ICM3Ge/Ethernet Port Configuration].Select the Internal Ethernet Port Configuration tab. Modify internal port mode to UNI without Egress Translation.
Add SPVLAN
From the configuration management navigation tree, select [Node/Shelf (x)/Slot (y): ICM3Geh/SPVLAN] and then select the SPVLAN Setup tab. The SPVLAN Setup window is displayed.
This Window lists the existing SPVLANs and their related parameters. From this window spvlan can be added, modified and deleted.Take add VLAN 177 for example.
The Add Service Provider VLAN window is displayed.Select proper internal port as untagged member port and proper GE port as tagged member.
Saving configuration
Perform the following steps to save a configuration:
Select [Configuration/Save Configuration] from the main menu. A message is displayed asking for a confirmation before proceeding, click .
A second message box will display requesting whether to save the configuration on the server.
If is selected, a message box will display indicating that the configuration was successfully saved to flash memory.
If Yes was selected, the Backup Node window will be displayed after saving the configuration to flash memory.Verify configuration
