Mapping and Assessing Personal ProgressMAPP
MAPP is a suite of materials developed by The Dales School to facilitate the planning, assessment and recording of progress in relation to personal learning intentions. In particular it provides a way of recognising lateral progression.
The materials divide into two main sections. The first focuses on setting learning intentions whilst the second focuses on assessment. It is important to note that the Continuum of Skill Development (CSD) which makes up section 2 of MAPP is an independent tool and can be used to evaluate progress against learning intentions which are drawn from sources other than section 1 of MAPP.

The general principles governing the schemes of work are that they
• are developmental in nature and open to personalisation - they start at the beginning of the individual pupil’s learning journey and aim for the highest level of independence possible;
• cover all stages of education from 2 to 25 (and beyond) but are not directly related to either age or key stage. Learners fit into them where they will according to their individual abilities, interests and learning journey;
• are not related to the National Curriculum, though the common language of the P scales is occasionally used for ease of understanding.

Entitlement and Quality Education for Pupils with Learning Difficulties.Registered Charity No. 1126263 A Company Limited by Guarantee No. 6343942www.equals.co.uk
If the answer is ‘yes’....EQUALS has entered into a partnership with Derbyshire County Council who have produced an electronic School Self Evaluation Summary (SES) document which is aligned to the new Ofsted Inspection Framework and Evaluation Schedule.
It is a flexible tool and enables you to capture in one place an overview of your school, your evaluation of the evidence and the associated judgements. There is also the opportunity to link this directly to your school improvement plan.
Are you needing a replacement to the old Ofsted Self Evaluation Form (SEF)?
Early Years Foundation Stage Small Steps Profile
• Developed by a team of Specialist Teachers and Portage Home Visitors who work with young children with significant cognitive difficulties.
• Allows practitioners to measure the progress and celebrate the success of children who develop at a much slower rate than typically developing children.
• Includes a user guide and an example graph which demonstrates how the profile can be used to plot a child’s progress over time.
