PROSTEP AG: Registering for a multiday Training Session for Opel Suppliers

To ensure a smooth cooperation, Opel demands the registration for the General Motors Supplier Portal GM SupplyPower from each of their supplier companies. The GM SupplyPower Portal is accessible via the Automotive Portal of Covisint. To access the Covisint portal, a company account is required. Thus, it requires the account for the Covisint portal and from there, in a second step the account for the GM SupplyPower portal to enable your employees to register for GM SupplyPower.

IMPORTANT: A supplier company’s registration both at Covisint and at the GM SupplyPower portal is the precondition to enable their employees to apply for a personal user account in both portals and, consequently, receive a GM SupplyPower ID.

You need this GM SupplyPower ID to register for a multiday training session for Opel suppliers held by PROSTEP.

Why? In the Opel-specific trainings, exclusive information is provided. Therefore, Opel demands to limit the circle of training attendees to their suppliers. With the GM SupplyPower ID, you prove, that your company is supplier for Opel and, thus, you are entitled to attend at an Opel specific training.

In order to send the registration form for the training, you must enter your GM SuplyPower ID therein.

Quickly achieving the GM SupplyPower ID: How it works

1. Register in the Covisint-Portal. 2. After receipt of the approval by the Covisint administrator of your company: Log in the

Covisint portal. 3. Register for GM SupplyPower. 4. After receipt of the approval by the Covisint administrator of your company: Log in the

GM SupplyPower Portal. 5. Check your GM SupplyPower ID and fill it in the PROSTEP training registration form.

It is quite easy and only takes a few minutes! In this document, we explain the procedure step by step.

Preconditions: What applies to you?

You have a GM SupplyPower ID.

• No further action is required. Just enter your GM SupplyPower ID on the Website of PROSTEP when signing up for the training.

You do not have a GM SupplyPower ID, but you have a user account at Covisint:

• Log in with your access data on the Website of Covisint and apply for the GM SupplyPower ID. See your GM SupplyPower ID after approval.

You do not have a GM SupplyPower ID neither a user account at Covisint:

• First, register at Covisint. Having received your access data, activate the Covisint Login Site and apply for the GM SupplyPower ID. After receipt of approval, call up your GM SupplyPower ID.

Register at Covisint To apply for a GM SupplyPower ID, you need a user account at Covisint.

Navigate to Registration

1. Insert www.covisint.com in your web browser.

2. Menu Login: click Automotive.

3. The login page: Registered Users Login opens

Note: In case you have a User Account with Covisint, continue with Apply for GM SupplyPower ID.

1. Click Register with Covisint in the right menu. The page welcome: covisint registration is displayed.

Creation of a User Account at Covisint

1. Click New User on the page welcome: covisint registration; then, click begin registration.

The page find organization is displayed.

2. Insert the name of your company and click search.

The list search results is displayed. NOTE: Is your company not shown, it might not yet be registered at Covisint. Your company has to be registered at Covisint, so that you can apply for a personal user account.

3. Choose your company resp. your site or your business unit and click on continue registration.

The page enter user information with the area user login information is displayed.

4. Fill the red marked mandatory fields and click on continue registration.

5. Fill the red marked mandatory fields and click on continue registration. The page select service package(s) is displayed. Important: Do not select a service package here, as this causes problems in the further process.

6. Scroll down and click next. The page review request and submit opens.

7. Review all data and click on submit registration.

The page you have successfully delivered your registration request is displayed.

How to continue • You will be sent an automatic email from Covisint confirming the receipt of your

registration request. Among others, this email contains the name of the Covisint administrator at your company. He has to check and approve your registration request.

• After the approval of your registration request by the Covisint administrator of your company, you will be sent a second email from Covisint. Now, you can call up the Covisint Login Page and log in.

• After having logged in the Covisint Portal, next, you can apply for your GM SupplyPower ID.

Application for the GM SupplyPower ID This is how to apply for a GM SupplyPower ID.

Call up the Covisint login page and log in.

1. Call up the Registered Users Login at www.covisint.com or navigate there as described in Navigate to Registration.

2. Insert your access data and click on Login. In the Covisint portal, the homepage will be displayed.

Apply for the GM SupplyPower ID

1. In the area Administration, click on Administration Tools. The page Covisint Connection and Administration for: <Your Name> is displayed.

2. Under COMMON ACTIONS, click on Request a service package. The page request service package: <Your Name> opens.

3. Scroll down to the area Partner Portals. Note: If your Company is registered for GM SupplyPower, the checkbox in front of the button request in the line GM SupplyPower is marked. Only in that case you are entitled to apply for a GM SupplyPower ID.

4. Next to the entry GM SupplyPower, click on request. The site request service package: General Terms for the Use of GM SupplyPower opens.

Scroll down, if necessary.

5. Click yes, I agree.

The site request service package: GM SupplyPower for <your name> > review package details opens

6. Click on continue

The site You will navigated to GM IDS Application opens.

7. Activate forwarding by confirming the button continue registration.

The page GMIN Request opens.

8. Fill in the fields Birth Day and Birth Month and click on Submit. IMPORTANT: Leave blank the fields GMIN and GMID! The page request service package: GM SupplyPower for <Your Name> > request successful! is displayed. Your GM SupplyPower ID has been applied for.

9. Click unsubscribe top right to unsubscribe from the Covisint portal.

How to continue • You will be sent an email from Covisint confirming the receipt of your access request for GM SupplyPower. The responsible administrator at your company will be informed about your request via email automatically. He has to verify and approve the request. • After the responsible administrator has approved your registration request, you will be sent a second email from Covisint. Within 1 hour at most, your access on GM SupplyPower will be released. • Now, you can once again call up the Covisint login site and log in. • Having logged in the Covisint portal, now, you have as well access to GM SupplyPower and can view your GM SupplyPower ID.

View GM SupplyPower ID How to find your GM SupplyPower ID:

1. Log in the Covisint-Portal. The homepage opens.

2. Go to your name on the upper right, then to Automotive Portals and click on GM

Supply Power. The homepage of GM SupplyPower is displayed.

3. Click on User Profile in the menu. The site User Profile is displayed.

In the PERSONAL INFORMATION area, a six-digit combination of figures (numbers/letters) is displayed in the line GMID. That is your GM SupplyPower ID.

4. Note down your GM SupplyPower ID and insert it in the application form for the selected training on the PROSTEP website.
