By the grace of almighty Allah, Ad-din has successfully established four Medical Colleges, viz, Ad-din Women’s Medical College, Dhaka in 2008, Ad-din Sakina Medical College, Jessore in 2012, Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College, Keranigonj, Dhaka by joint collaboration with Bashundhara Group in 2013 and Ad-din Akij Medical College, Khulna in 2013. I am grateful to the respective authorities of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the University of Dhaka, the University of Rajshahi, the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) and the Bashundhara Group for their kind support and guidance. Since its inception, Ad-din’s Medical Colleges have been continually striving for excellence in the field of Medical Education. We are shaping young minds to become future leaders in health services, medical education, research and public health. It is the winning spirit which we want to install into each student’s mind. Our educational strategy is to create a learning environment and guide students to acquire the appropriate knowledge, skills and temperament to practice medicine and be a member of the multidisciplinary health care team. Ad-din aims to bring in synergy between objectives of its Medical Colleges and guidelines of BMDC, and also the holistic personal development of the students to become ideal citizens as well as distinguished physicians. Its first project was building an orphanage in Jessore. During its thirty-seven years with development, Ad-din has expanded its existence of diverse projects in several parts of the country. Ad-din’s current projects include hospitals in Dhaka, Keranigonj, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna and Postogola; Medical Colleges in Dhaka, Jessore, Keranigonj and Khulna; Nursing College in Dhaka, Nursing Institutes in Dhaka, Jessore and Kushtia and a Medical Technology Institute in Jessore. There are also Mobile Eye clinics, Maternal and Child Health Project, Prevention and repair of obstetric Fistulae a plus Project, Integrated Health and Microfinance Program including Health Insurance. Classrooms The college has required number of lecture theatres, seminar rooms and demonstration rooms. The rooms are well ventilated with proper lighting system, built-in writing boards, equipped with LCD projector, overhead projector and computers. Library The Library is well stocked with books on all branches of medicine. The library also subscribes national and foreign journals on medical and allied subjects. The library has wireless internet connectivity and there is a separate internet browsing room equipped with computers. The library also has facilities for playing video cassettes and CDs. The library remains open from 8 am to 5 pm. The college library has a collection of necessary textbooks, references, monographs and current journals in various subjects. The reading rooms at the library can accommodate up to 100 students at a time. The undergraduate students graduating from the Medical Colleges of Ad-din should be competent in diagnosis and management of common health problems, commensurate with her/his position as a member of the health team at the primary, secondary or tertiary levels using her/his clinical skills based on history, physical examination and relevant investigations. be competent to practice preventive, curative and rehabilitative medicine in respect to the commonly encountered health problems. be familiar with different therapeutic modalities and be confident with the administration of the “essential drugs” and their common side effects. be able to appreciate the social, psychological, cultural, economic and environmental factors affecting health and develop an empathetic and sensitive attitude in discharging professional responsibilities. possess the attitude for continued self learning and seeking further expertise or pursuing research in any chosen area of health care. be familiar with basic factors, which are essential for the implementation of the National Health Policy/ Programs including practical aspects of the following : - reproductive and child health program. - prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases. - health promotion and behavior changes in disease control. - environmental sanitation and climate change. - health in different work places. acquire basic management skills in the area of human resources, materials and resource management related to health care delivery. be able to identify public health problems and learn to work to resolve these by designing and instituting corrective steps and evaluating outcome of such measures. be able to work as a member of the health care team and acquire proficiency in communication skill. be competent to work in a variety of health care settings. have personal characteristics and attitudes required for professional life such as personal integrity, sense of responsibility and reliability and ability to relate to and show concern for other individuals. The rooms are well ventilated with a proper lighting system, built-in and portable writing boards, equipped with LCD projectors, overhead projectors and computers with high wattage audio aids. Library The Library is well stocked with books from all branches of medicine. It is located in the fifth and sixth floor of the college building. The 8800 square feet library has wifi and a separate internet browsing room equipped with adequate number of computers. It has a computer laboratory and facilities for playing video cassettes and CDs. The Library remains open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. It has a collection of over 5000 text books, references and monographs. It also has national and foreign journals on medical and allied subjects. The reading rooms can accommodate up to 100 students at a time. The academic building has been adequately equipped to accommodate Lecture galleries, Dissection hall, Laboratories and Museum. Each department has been provided with Computers and Internet facilities including access to Scanner, Multimedia and other audio-visual aids. Classrooms The college has required number of lecture galleries, seminar rooms and demonstration rooms for each department. The rooms are well ventilated with proper lighting system, built-in and portable writing boards, equipped with LCD Projector, Overhead Projector, Computers with high wattage audio visual aids. The academic building has been adequately equipped to accommodate Lecture rooms, Dissection hall, Laboratories and Museum. Each department has been provided with Computers and Internet facilities including access to Scanner, Multimedia and other audio-visual aids. Campus - AAMC Khulna 20 Session 2017-2018 Applications are invited from the Bangladeshi and foreign students for admission in to First Year MBBS for the session 2017-2018 (AWMC-10th batch, ASMC- 7th batch, BAMC-4th batch, AAMC-3rd batch). Academic requirements for Bangladeshi students SSC or equivalent examination in 2015 or 2014 and HSC or equivalent examination in 2017 or 2016 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum combined GPA of 9.0. Minimum GPA of 3.5 in Biology in HSC. Candidate referred in any examination will not be accepted. Students who have undertaken O and A level examinations should submit equivalence certificates to be collected from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh along with the application. ClassroomsThere are four lecture theatres and an auditorium with state-of-the-art infrastructure which are fully air conditioned. Seminar rooms and demonstration rooms are also available in each department. The rooms are well ventilated with a proper lighting system, built-in and portable writing boards, equipped with LCD projectors, overhead projectors and computers with high wattage audio aids.

LibraryThe Library is well stocked with books from all branches of medicine. It is located in the fifth and sixth floor of the college building. The 8800 square feet library has wifi and a separate internet browsing room equipped with adequate number of computers. It has a computer laboratory and facilities for playing video cassettes and CDs. The Library remains open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. It has a collection of over 5000 text books, references and monographs. It also has national and foreign journals on medical and allied subjects. The reading rooms can accommodate up to 100 students at a time.

The Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College (BAMC) campus and hospital building are situated within the premises of Bashundhara Riverview Project, South Keranigonj, Dhaka. The academic building has been adequately equipped to accommodate Lecture galleries, Dissection hall, Laboratories and Museum. Each department has been provided with Computers and Internet facilities including access to Scanner, Multimedia and other audio-visual aids.

The reading rooms at the library can accommodate up to 50 students at a time.

Session 2017-2018Applications are invited from the Bangladeshi and foreign students for admission in to First Year MBBS for the session 2017-2018 (AWMC-10th batch, ASMC- 7th batch, BAMC-4th batch, AAMC-3rd batch).

Academic requirements for Bangladeshi students

SSC or equivalent examination in 2015 or 2014 and HSC or equivalent examination in 2017 or 2016 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Minimum combined GPA of 9.0. Minimum GPA of 3.5 in Biology in HSC. Candidate referred in any examination will not be accepted.

Students who have undertaken O and A level examinations should submit equivalence certificates to be collected from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh along with the application.
