Seismic Analysis of this building as per IBC 2003 using finite element software ETABS. Design of shallow foundation (isolated and combined). Design for soft-story Check for joint shear and strong column weak beam. Supervise cad technologists to prepare the working drawing and submitted to the supervisor.

Project title: “Construction of sheikh fazilatunnesa mujib Eye Hospital at Gopalganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh”

Responsibilities:

24 nos 6-storied reinforced concrete building has been designed in this project. Preliminary design to support the architect. Wind Load calculation as per UBC 1994 using finite element software ETABS. Seismic Analysis of this building as per IBC 2003 using finite element software ETABS. Design of shallow foundation (isolated and combined). Design of super structure including column, beam, deck slab and floor slab Supervise cad technologists to prepare the working drawing and submitted to the supervisor. Supervise the site time to time and provide guideline when difficulties arise. Ensure quality control of the construction.

Project title: “Project for capacity development on natural disaster resistant techniques of construction and retrofitting for public building”

Responsibilities:

Worked as a team member of working team-2. Assist to write “Seismic Design Manual for new Building in Bangladesh”, “Seismic Assessment and Design Manual

for Existing Building in Bangladesh” with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Project title: “Construction of 6 nos 8 storied reinforced concrete hospital building at Naogan, Vola, Borguna, Hobiganj, Nilfamari, Tongi Bangladesh”

Responsibilities: Wind Load calculation as per UBC 1994/ASCE 7-05 using finite element software ETABS. Seismic Analysis of this building as per IBC 2003 using finite element software ETABS. Design of different type’s foundation for different building depending on the soil investigation reports. Design of superstructure including column, beam and slab. Check for joint shear and strong column weak beam. Supervise cad technologists to prepare the working drawing and submitted to the supervisor.

As a proprietor and principal structural design engineer of this company, I designed different types of structures including residential and commercial reinforced concrete buildings, steel buildings and heavy machine foundation, Analysis and design of self supported communication towers and poles and guyed masts as per BS 8100, EIA 222 F and TIA 222 G. I also reviewed geotechnical reports and design different types foundation for different types of structures and Performed seismic assessment and retrofitting design for reinforced concrete buildings. I have participated negotiation meeting with the clients to get projects as team leader as well as team members in different projects. Some of my notable jobs are described in below:

Contributed in different projects related to risk assessment. Design 4, 6 and 8 storied reinforced concrete building as per CSA A23.3 standard located in Vancouver for a research

project. Design 4, 6 and 8 storied braced steel frame as per CSA S16-09 standard considering building is located in Vancouver

for a research project. Seismic response modification factor, seismic vulnerability assessment, and progressive collapse analysis by using

smart material for reinforced concrete buildings. Worked as a teaching assistant for different undergraduate courses.

Project title: “Construction of 366m long pre-stressed concrete girder bridge over the river surma at sylhet, Bangladesh for roads and high ways department.”

Responsibilities:

Dead load and live load calculation for 50m and 36m span pre-stressed girder. Wind load and seismic load analysis for the bridge pier as per AASHTO LRFD 6th edition. Design the sub-structure as an assistant of a senior engineer. Supervise the cad technologists to prepare the working drawing.

Project title: “Construction of 3100m long hybrid (RCC and Pre-stressed) intersection overpass at Kuril, Dhaka, Bangladesh for roads and high ways department.”
