letitcomeout.Illstartwith,asBillwasalludingto...generationsofthisprojectiscorrect.Thisis,basically,thefourthgenerationthatwereinnow.

Iwasfirstgeneration,1960s.Therewasapreviousgenerationinthe1950sthatwasafailedexperiment.Sobasicallyinmygeneration,theystartedtheprogramallfromnew,allfromscratchandwererightnow,ifmyinformationiscorrect,inthefourthgeneration.

Well,onewinterafternoonImloadedupinatruckbymyparentsandImtakentoahardwarestore.Itstheonlyhardwarestoreintheentirecounty,andinthebackofthatstoreisaroomthathasahiddendoor.IhadwalkedbythatwallwiththedoornumeroustimeswithmyDadandmyGranddad;didnotknowitwasthere.

So,IwastakeninbymyMomandwewentthroughthedoorandinthisroomwasabouteighttotwelveotherkidsaboutmyage;Iwassixyearsold.Andtheyreallsittingattheselittlelowkindergarten-typetablesandtheyallhavepuzzlesandtheyretrying

Now,walkingaroundtheroomisaladyofEuropeandescent,withanextremely-heavyaccent.ShecomesovertomeandhelpsmetakemyjacketoffandsetsmedownandasksmeifIdliketoplay.Imsixyearsold--ofcourseIwanttoplay.Shegivesmesomepuzzlepiecesandsays:Makeapictureoutofthepieces.

Well,foryears,sinceIvestartedregainingallmymemories,wehadthoughtthatthetestitselfwasmakingthecorrectpicturewiththepuzzlepieces.Wedontbelievethatssonow.Whatwethinkitwasnowwas...TheladysnamewasHelga.Shewasatransmitter.
