NEW PROGRAM

Course DescriptionThis two-day hands-on program is hosted by the prestigious Mount Sinai in New York City. It brings together national and international experts in advanced sialendoscopy and minimally invasive salivary gland surgery. They will demonstrate their surgical knowledge and share their experiences, including success, failures, and future trends. Participants will learn sophisticated new techniques to manage challenging problems encountered in their practice. The course format will consist of lectures, hands-on cadaver laboratory sessions, panel discussions, and a live surgery. Attendees are encouraged to bring difficult cases for discussion by a faculty panel.

Target AudienceThis course is specifically designed for Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeons, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Head and Neck Nurse Practitioners, Operating Room Nurses, Operating Room Technicians.

Program ObjectivesAt the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

✦ Describe the various obstructive salivary gland diseases, and be able to manage these diseases utilizing the different techniques of sialendoscopy and minimally invasive surgeries.

✦ Identify the barriers to adoption of sialendoscopy in the treatment of salivary gland diseases and incorporate methods, including a treatment algorithm, that will overcome these identified barriers.

✦ Explain why sialendoscopy increases patient safety in regards to the management of certain sali-vary gland diseases and justifying the use of sialendoscopy in their current practice.
