The FRONTPRESS, a one-person-operated vehicle, provides a safe and comfortable workplace, as the driver is always well protected from the weather and from contact with refuse. Using a joystick, the driver controls the approach and emptying procedures with great ease from the cab. This smart vehicle for modern waste disposal logistics offers many possibilities including the collection of two different waste types at the same time on one trip and consequently the optimum design for routes with variable pickup schedules.

Thanks to its compartmentalized construction of the SELECTAPRESS, the collection and separation of two waste types at the same time on one round is made possible. With the SELECTAPRESS you have options for planning flexible collection in accordance with your needs. The body structure is divided along its length in the ratio of 1/3:2/3 or alternatively 2/3:1/3.

The optional light beams at the tailgate of the SELECTAPRESS allows a continuous loading mechanism cycle, even with a rave height of less than 1,400 mm. Should the light beam be interrupted by the downward movement of the loading mechanism, the compactor stops. The movement can be restarted at the touch of a button. This allows continuous operation of the loading mechanism, without the risk of a dangerous loading situation occurring. The VARIOPRESS is the solution for the future as far as the disposal of household and commercial recyclables and other waste materials are concerned. This refuse vehicle really does live up to its name. Because it is so versatile it can be utilised, regardless of the density of the waste and with any size of container, from 60 litre bins right up to, upon request, 5 m³ refillable containers.

Thanks to the option of body sizes ranging from 7 to 30 m³ and a choice of chassis ranging from narrow-track to the large four-axle version, a type can be specified to meet any individual requirement.

The innovative concept allows the collection of food waste and general domestic waste. It has a specially designed side loading and side tipping pod for the collection of food waste. This is situated behind the vehicle cab. The side loading pod is available in variable cubic metre sizes and features a 240L bin lift to the near side for emptying wheeled bins and has the option available of a side loading trough to facilitate loading by kerb side boxes.

This vehicle is another great example of FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited responding to a specific requirement in waste collection for our inner city team. For this concept we needed to produce a quality FAUN body chassis combination able to access restricted areas. So we designed a Variopress 2 curved body specifically in conjunction with an adapted chassis to provide a cost effective RCV for areas where only a narrow track chassis can go, such as constricted roads with cars parked on both sides.

The Variopress body and tailgate have been specified to be within 2.3m wide, the compact lifter compliments the design as it is well within this width and has a minimal overhang. This new Compact lift has been designed at 550kg. Being one of the lightest split automatic lifts available it has a wide market because it is suitable to mount on 12 to 32t RCVs.

It’s a vertical lift with a high tip angle and great ground clearance, it can also be fully prepared for weighing and identification. An alternative to the split design is the compact classic, a similar lifter but designated for commercial waste rounds.

The major design work has gone into the designation of the chassis. To optimise the axle load distribution and maintain manoeuvrability we added the mid steer axle.

This vehicle is a prime example of FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited’s commitment to provide innovative product to the market, that you tell us you need. We were approached by a number of customers who wanted to collect mixed waste streams with limited access. After analysing the requirement and discussing with our manufacturing partners in group, we designed this small split body concept.

The 50:50 body is based on a long established design, but reduced in one dimension to maintain a 2.3m width. The single tailgate is lightweight, fast and robust, with separate packers running on a single carriage, the hoppers are filled and cleared with ease. The light weight and minimal overhang of the 202 lifter make it the ideal companion for the small body.

The body is fitted with independent ejectors to discharge when full. The offside chamber has an innovative ‘bio-flap’ to retain the waste when emptying the nearside. This folding door rotates and pushes against the waste as it lowers, using the force of the raised tailgate to hold the refuse in place until it is time to discharge the offside. It is also interlocked in the control system to prevent improper use.

The body is available to suit chassis from 15-22 tons. We are very proud of this latest little addition to the family.

The OMEGA heavy duty trade low level, hydraulic commercial bin lifter, incorporates the flexibility for the collection of various types of refuse within one collection point. The OMEGA has been developed to be “bolt on/bolt off” so that the user may exchange a damaged unit quickly, thus increasing vehicle utilisation. The 202.60 commercial bin lifter is ideal for operations with two loaders, as it features user friendly operator controls on both sides of the unit, and a divided comb lift for the discharge of bins from 80 up to 360 litres independently or in any combination.

Two loaders can work in tandem yet independently and, with a low rave rail, sacks and bulk refuse items can be discharged easily.

Simple coupling of the two hydraulic systems, reduces the hydraulic flow and increases the lifting capacity to enable 660-1100 litre containers, and modified Paladins, to be discharged.

An on board, fully retentive memory provides operational, management fault diagnostics, which can be retrieved via a touch screen in plain English, regardless of interruption or even total loss of power supply.

The FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited VIAJET 4 is a small, flexible, powerful sweeper with a 4 m³ body. It is quiet, compact and highly maneuverable, making it an ideal sweeping solution for inner city areas, especially due to its capability to unload into refuse collection vehicles by a high mounted breakover point of the body. It is also capable of speeds up to 55mph, greatly minimizing driving time between usage sites and the waste depot.

The VIAJET 4 is equipped with the proven FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited air circulation system as standard. This means that 70% of the air taken in remains in circulation and only 30% is ejected from the sweeper. The suctioned air serves to agitate the

sweepings, improving the ability of the air current to take in and filter out the dirt. The FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited air circulation system significantly reduces dust emissions, makes for better cleaning and also minimizes water consumption. Less water also means less total weight, resulting in lower fuel consumption and a higher payload.

As an alternative, the VIAJET 4 can also be equipped with a mechanical intake unit. This makes the body engine unnecessary, which in turn helps the sweeper to save fuel and operate even more quietly. It also reduces the vehicle’s unladen weight when compared with other compact sweepers without affecting loading capacity.

And the most up to date FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited technology as well as clever ideas for a flexible usage make the VIAJET both a forward-looking and worthwhile investment for any vehicle pool. With both models - VIAJET 6 and VIAJET 7 - and a container capacity of 6 or 7m³, the VIAJET is the right size for every job.

Flexibility on all sides is the keyword. The road sweeper can, if required, be fitted with disc brushes, suction and blowing chutes on the left, right or both sides and with silencing strips. Having plenty of power, VIAJET can cope with even the dirtiest job. The generously dimensioned water tank enables the VIAJET to clean well over long distances, while the well thought out modular system allows all types of requirements to be met. This also means the fitting with equipment in accordance to RAL ZU 59 giving the use of the sign ‘Blue Angel’.

It may be small, but it certainly makes up for it! That is an accurate description of the VIAJET 5 from FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited. This 5m³ machine does not lag behind its big brother, the VIAJET 6/7, in any aspect of its performance. The compact design makes for simple handling by the operator, and the clearly laid out control console gives the driver unrestricted room.

By virtue of its hydrostatic transmission system, it is precisely slow in difficult sweeping tasks, that the VIAJET 5 can show its optimal handling qualities. By dispensing with the auxiliary motor, the VIAJET 5 also fully meets the increasing demands for environmental protection and safety, because it produces less exhaust gas and makes less noise as it sweeps.

In narrow streets and alleys the VIAJET 5 with its slim dimensions and small tyre size, can sweep nimbly on every route. On completion of the cleaning round, the filled container can be easily emptied thanks to its smooth surface. So however demanding the sweeping task, working with the VIAJET 5 becomes an entirely clean affair.

Exclusive to FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited, the Eco Drive Assistant (EDA) is an electronic control device designed to reduce fuel consumption by optimising driving for “stop/start” refuse collection driving cycles. The EDA keeps the engine in the optimal torque zone by supervising the gear change timing and effectively removing the “heavy right foot” syndrome. The EDA reduces stress on the engine and leads to fuel consumption reduction in domestic collection rounds of up to 20%.

The weighing and ID system is fully integrated with FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited’s range of lifters.

FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited’s domestic and commercial lifters have been developed to accept the weighing system resulting in a fully integrated bin weighing and identification system, combining two leading technologies into one seamless solution.

The weighing and ID system is truly dynamic and so has no effect on the already fast cycle times of the FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited lifters; 7secs domestic, 9secs commercial.

The system has been tried and tested in Switzerland so has been designed to operate in temperatures from -30° to 50°. It is also not effected by gradient, vibration or weather conditions. There are many systems operating all over Europe and the UK today.

The weighing system can be combined with FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited’s tracking system to transmit weighing data over air incorporating GPRS data.

If a full blown Fleet management is required with weighing data the system can be integrated into market leading software to provide a full suite of tracking reports, analysis and other added value functionality.
