Established in 2003, Polycreations (Pvt) Ltd has made its name as one of the leading polythene manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka.

The company started its commercial operations in September 2003 with services initially limited to a few garment factories. Having been in this particular industry for over a decade, Poly creations is fast forging a reputation for all that is best in polythene concentrating on quality, dependability and adopting a green approach.

At present Polycreations supplies to over 100 garment factories and has expanded its supplies to the agricultural market and green houses including exports to the Asian, Middle Eastern and the European market.

Polycreations opened its UK office recently in order to expand its services to the European market.

In 2015, Poly creations acquired the status of an ISO certified company which includes ISO:9001,ISO:14001 and ISO:18001 which led us to win the confidence of leading industrialists to choose us as their Polythene Supplier.

Compostable poly bags are often made from farmed prod-ucts like cornstarch, which, in the right conditions, will break down into elements like carbon dioxide, water and methane.

Biodegradable bags are generally best suited to composting and may contribute to methane emissions if sent to landfill.

To meet international standards, bags need to compost within 12 weeks and fully biodegrade within 6 months. Biodegradable bags are not suited to recycling.
