    PROCESS FOR IMPORT DIRECT DELIVERY NHAVA SHEVA

    The standard requirement towards direct delivery of the containersfrom theport is

    1. Submission of the Facility notice received from customsallowing thedirect delivery from port

    2. Request with BL no to be submitted atleast 3 working daysprior thearrival of the vessel

    3. Submission of a blank cheque towards the shifting charges(maximum4 shiftings) which will be filled and collected basis the updates

    receivedfrom the port. The Cheque will have to be submitted per BL wise.

    4. Else the customer has to pay the Shifting charges (4 shiftingpercontainer as per current port tariff) to APL at the time ofcollectingcarrier delivery order. Customer's would be informed towards theamount chargeable allowing them to then approach us with arefundrequest letter and original receipts for processing after APL

    receivesport invoices for shifting/movement of concerned containers.

    5. In event of the containers not being cleared due to any reasontheshifting charges and the port demmurage charges will be appliedandthe consignee will be liable for the same along with the normalchargesfor delivery order and cost at CFS.

    6. It is the responsibility of the consignee to inform the details ofclearance and nonclearance to the liners and all other relatedauthorities as required and specified in the FN no 63/08 dt01/09/2008 with FN no 47/2007 dt. 7/11/2007

    the containers at the facility arranged by the customs is with theconsignee.

    8. The importer is responsible to inform the port terminals(JNPCT, NSICT

    and GTIPL) towards the list / job order of containers well beforethe arrival of the ship to enable the port to place the container/sin the yard/space specially earmarked for DPD with minimum ornil shiftings.

    9. The permission for the trailer and the designated agent shouldbeobtained by Consignee or their CHA from the port authorities inchargeof security and logistics as per procedure.
