G.O.(Rt)No.839f2016fTAXES dated 27.10.2016 4.Request of the individuals. At present 31 vacancies are existing in the cadre of Assistant State Tax Officer. These vacancies arose due to the the promotion of 15 Assistant State Tax Officers to the cadre of State Tax Officers as per order read 1 s t above, retirement of 15 officials in the cadre of ASTO and one vacancy due to relieving of an official in the cadre of ASTO to take up new employment in the Agriculture Department. These vacancies have to be filled up by promotion (By Transfer) from the senior most eligible Head Clerks / Senior Clerks, Stenographer and UD Typists in the ratio of 30:1:1 as per the existing special rules ofthis department. As per G.O.(Rt)No.839f2016fTAXES dated 27.10.2016, it has been directed that all the qualified U D Typists and Confidential Assistants are to be promoted to the category of ASTO by transfer in the proportionate quota reserved for them and that the proportion shall not be as against existing or arising vacancies. Accordingly all the officials mentioned in the G.O were considered for promotion in the previous orders No.A2f222f16fCT dated 27.04.2017 and 04.08.2017 except Sri.AnilKumar P, CA Senior Grade.Oy o the Commissioner,SGSTD Kerala who submitted relinquishment of promotion/By transfer appointment to the cadre ofAssistant State Tax Officers and not submitted withdrawal of relinquishment application till this date. Since no other eligible Typists and Confidential Assistants are available for by transfer appointment to the cadre of ASTOs as on this date except Sri.AnilKumar P, CA Senior Grade.Oy o the Commissioner,SGSTD Kerala who has already been availed the right of relinquishment from the post of ASTO, all the aforesaid vacancies are to be filled up from the senior most eligible Head Clerks and Senior clerks. In order to fill up the above vacancies, 31 senior most eligible Head Clerks/ Senior Clerks are selected from the lists received as per ref 2 nd above from G Section,CST. At present 31 vacancies are existing in the cadre of Assistant State TaxOfficer. These vacancies arose due to the the promotion of 15 Assistant StateTax Officers to the cadre of State Tax Officers as per order read 1s t above,retirement of 15 officials in the cadre of ASTO and one vacancy due torelieving of an official in the cadre of ASTO to take up new employment in theAgriculture Department. These vacancies have to be filled up by promotion (ByTransfer) from the senior most eligible Head Clerks / Senior Clerks,Stenographer and UD Typists in the ratio of 30: 1:1 as per the existing specialrules of this department.
