As per order read 1st above 30 Assistant State Tax Officers have been promotedto the cadre of State Tax Officers. 3 vacancies are live due to the Suspension in thecadre ofAssistant State Tax Officers. Now33 Vacancies are existing in this Departmentin the cadre of Assisatant State Tax Officer.Out of which 3 vacancies are reserved forreinstatement and one for rejoining. The remaining 29 vacancies are to be filled up fromthe feeder categories and that the appointment will be provisional. Those vacancieshave to be filled up by promoting (ByTransfer) from among the senior most eligible HeadClerks/ Senior Clerks,Stenographer and UO Typists in the ratio of 30: 1:1 as per theexisting special rules of this department.

Government issued G.O.(Rt)No.839/2016/TAXES dated 27.10.2016 wherein it isdirected that all the qualified UO Typists and Confidential Assistants to the category ofACTOby transfer in the proportionate quota reserved for them and that the proportionshall not be as against existing or arising vacancies.As such all the officials mentionedin the G.O were considered for promotion in the previous orders No.A2/222/16/CTdated 27.04.2017 and 04.08.2017 except Sri.AnilKumar P, CA Senior Gradc.Oy o theCommissioner,SGSTO Kerala who submitted relinquishment of promotion/By transferappointment to the cadre of Assistant State Tax Officers ..

Since no other eligible Typists and confidential Assistants arc available for bytransfer appointment to the cadre of ACTOs as on this date except Sri.AnilKumar P, CASenior Grade.Oy o the Commissioner,SGSTO Kerala who has already been availed theright of relinquishment from the post ofACTO,all the aforesaid vacancies are to be filledup from the senior most eligible Head Clerks and Senior clerks.

In order to fill up the above vacancies, 29 senior most eligible Head Clerks/Senior Clerks are selected from the lists received as per ref 2nd,4th and Sth above fromG Section,CCT.
