Why are we doing the project?

• Students to understand benefit of research-based education

• Provide all our students with opportunity for broad education

• Student equity in skills development and preparedness for world of work

• Encourage deeper learning at programme level

• Changing landscape• More selective students (and parents)

• Increased UK and overseas competition

• Access to comparative course information

• Employer demand for more rounded graduates

For 2014/15

1. Introduction of final year project in all programmes

2. Evidence and communication of Research Based Learning and Core Programme Threads

3. Introduction of Discovery Themes

4. Evidence and communication of broadening for programmes which do not access Discovery Themes

For 2015/16

5. Review of learning and outcomes and evidence of associated assessment
