at NOWADAYS

Nowadays is at 56-06 Cooper Avenue on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood, an exciting neighborhood full of new restaurants and nightlife spaces. Nowadays is conveniently located four blocks from the Halsey stop on the L train, a twenty-minute ride from Union Square in Manhattan. The B26 bus, which services Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn also stops one block away, and there is ample public parking surrounding the venue.

Our Spaces

Indoors at Nowadays is a homey, 5,000 square-foot, fully licensed event space with seating for 188 and standing capacity of 269. Designed by K and Co, whose previous projects include El Comado and MP Pool Party, there’s a full bar and full kitchen as well as a custom-made, hi-fidelity sound system for dancing, a home hi-fidelity sound system for background music, and a light rig for events.

Our Spaces

Nowadays’ yard is a park-like, tree-specked, 16,000 square-foot, fully licensed event space. Designed by Future Green Studios, whose portfolio includes work at the Met Breuer, the Highline and Brooklyn Children’s Museum, it features onsite seating for 350 with space to bring in more seating. Our standing capacity is 800, but the space can easily be compartmentalized to make smaller gatherings feel comfortable.
