Principal’s Message
Term 4 Week 6 – 20th November 2019
Welcome to an exciting Week 6. This week is jam packed with major events and activities to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students at King Street Public School.
Our Stage 3 students chose twelve outstanding Year 5 leaders to speak in front of our primary and Year 2 students to convince the school why they should vote for them as our School Leader for 2020. All of the students spoke with confidence and delivered outstanding speeches. The announcement of our four leaders will occur today and the four students will say their pledge and be presented with their badges and blazers on Presentation Day.
This Friday will be our final Tawny Assembly for 2019. Students will be presented with their Tawny badges and have been consistently displaying the school's values of being Kind, Safe, Proud and Supportive. AAA and SPA awards will also be presented along with performances by our school concert band.
After the Tawny Assembly, we are inviting all grandparents to join in the activities after lunch as part of our Grandparents Day celebrations from 12noon to 1.15pm. All students will line up in the Quad area and grandparents can follow their grandchildren to their classrooms where they can join in activities organised by their class teacher. We look forward to seeing many of our students grandparents in attendance.
Our annual Colour Run will be held from 1.45pm on Friday. Students are asked to bring a change of clothes to run around our designed obstacle course. Due to water restrictions, we are unable to use copious amounts of water like in previous years however we are positive our students will still enjoy the experience.

Art Club Plasticine Fun
Mrs Baxter had a lot of fun teaching students visiting the Art Club last week how to make flowers from plasticine.
They made many different flowers in an array of colours.
We cant wait to see what they make next!
S2B Writing
Mrs Barry gave her students
free reign for writing last week
with some great results.
Maben decided to try her hand
at poetry while April used her
imagination for her piece of
writing.
Well done!
