Read a range of stories, poems and non- fiction to them. Research shows that this is the single most important thing a parent can do to help their child’s education.
At school, children will focus on making predictions about characters and events in stories.
Maths Read, write and compare numbers and groups of
objects to 100. Compare, order and partition numbers identifying the
tens and ones in each number. Add and subtract a single digit to a two-digit number. Add and subtract 10 more or less from 2 digit numbers. Recognise equal groups and use arrays to solve
multiplication problems involving 2s, 5s and 10s. Count and compare different amounts of money and
